3 branch connector quandary?
Can the controller handle if I were to plug each connector with another 3 branch connector thus having 9 power slots to access? Would there there be a maximum to reach?

These 7 tank engines make up the steam powered collection of Tischwil Museum of steam.
They are all older (some rather ancient) models that have been converted to DCC with decoders, coreless motors and stayalive condensers installed.
They all live on the layout permanently and have their space together in the locomotive shed. This thinking has prevented me from buying more locos than I need :). Let's see how long that lasts...
Does anyone else name their locos? :)
She's runnin' smooth and on time. But we know what comes next...
Quick little n scale tour. Feel free to give feedback on things to approve or add.
I went to an art show yesterday at the old Brooklyn Navy Yard and noticed these paved-over tracks. I didn’t have a tape measure but they looked narrow-gauge.
And then I noticed the gantry cranes. And the NYC fireboat. And looked at the history of the thing. The Arizona was built here. And picture number 11 is from 1956 and shows 2 aircraft carriers being built and 2 more at dockside getting worked on.
So if you’ve been holding off on starting a layout because you were looking for a subject that was historic and had cool buildings, aircraft carriers, gantry cranes, fireboats and the Brooklyn Bridge, the Brooklyn Navy Yard may be just the thing to get you building.
(No, I’m not selling anything here.
The title refers to the first picture which is from a Looney Toons cartoon where Bugs Bunny sells someone the Brooklyn Bridge.)
I'm still blown away by the fact that hunderds of people worldwide seem to actively care about this little world I'm tinkering away at in my room. I want to say thank you to all of you! Your enthusiasm, inspiration and feedback really help me stay motivated and just simply fill me with joy every time.
I've now decided it may be time to make some social media pages for the layout, to maybe reach some more people and keep pictures and videos collected somewhere. So, if you enjoy seeing the progress on Tischwil and my latest modeling projects, consider following Tischwil on Instagram or Facebook. I would appreciate it greatly.
These are from our “generic” N Scale modular set up. It’s been featured at Kennesaw and Cartersville and Chattanooga and is our ambassador for scale railroading.
Hello, just finished laying all the track on my Japanese-style layout. Ignore the messy cables, will fix those next before starting work on the scenery ;)
Maybe someone will feel inspired. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, I will try to answer them all :)
So instead of the traditional position where you put the light kit and light diffuser glass. What I am proposing is mount it where the Kitchen area was, this you will keep the light bulb color for the dining area, and keeping the white light in the kitchen. Additionally for Hokutosei dining car, you will need to trim the wall of the kitchen slightly to give room for the light. Hope it helps anyone that want to make two tone interior lights.
Twisted and frayed electrical wire, spray painted brown. Woodland Scenics foliage draped over top.
Looks pretty good to me, but kind of questioning my sanity twisting, painting, drilling and placing 350 of these...
Ciao ha tutti, volevo chiedere ho una stanza di 30mq a disposizione si potrebbe fare qualcosa ? Volevo riprodurre Torino P.N e fare due tre stazioni intermedie più una alpina e una costiera .
I am going to do a 4x8 yard with kato roundhouses, kato turntable and a kato engine house. Maybe some other yard houses... But plan is 3 outer loops where farthest out goes up 2 degrees and middel can exit table then an inner loop. This way i can run trains. Plan is to do this and enjoy over a few years. If I end up buying a house with a bigger basement I can integrate it in and make the layout bigger. Then that's where it will spread off to a town and other things and leaving the yard a definite full yard.
My question is this: should I use foam at all? I currently have 2 in phone down on top of the 4x8 but I questioned if it is really needed for a yard. What would you do? Would you put it straight on to the wood?
I drew this up in any rail a long time ago and I need to modify it to make it a full yard and get rid of the town. But it gives you an idea of what I'm thinking
Got the loksound and added it to the 141r Arnold left the space for the speaker and you don't need to solder it with wire. It's just contact. A bit disappointed by the volume so far. I will have to check to modify the encasement or the CVs
I have an idea for a L-shape. The main section is 28"x 62" and there is an arm coming off of that measuring 14"x 96".
I want to do a shelf layout with no legs. I have hand tools and a drill to get it done but I can't decide on the exact design. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Well outside of a few more small details the “nature” end of my first layout is pretty much done. Everything DIY and 3D printed and painted.
I grabbed all of this plus a couple more buildings, books and magazines for a decent price. I really like the custom Milwaukee GEs.
... what started as "let me just control one loco with an Arduino" turned into a full control unit with 3 zones, 11 turnouts, block section management, speed measurement in scale km/h, and an LCD showing everything. Still fully analog, no DCC. Just an Arduino Mega, a bunch of shi(f)t registers, relays and way tooooo many wires and a logic that bangs my head. :D
It works though. 3 trains, no crashes. ( Most of the time. \o/ )
Are there any developers here? Perhaps someone might be interested:
