So I accidentally built a train control system ...
... what started as "let me just control one loco with an Arduino" turned into a full control unit with 3 zones, 11 turnouts, block section management, speed measurement in scale km/h, and an LCD showing everything. Still fully analog, no DCC. Just an Arduino Mega, a bunch of shi(f)t registers, relays and way tooooo many wires and a logic that bangs my head. :D
It works though. 3 trains, no crashes. ( Most of the time. \o/ )
