If the ground is too hot for your hand, imagine their paws

Everyone’s posting about power cuts because the heat is unbearable right now.

Yesterday evening, I saw this stray dog lying in dirty drain water on the roadside.
Not because it wanted to.
Probably because the pavement was too hot to sit on.

We complain when the fan stops for 10 minutes.
These animals survive 45°C heat with no shelter, no clean water, and no way to ask for help.

That image genuinely stayed with me.

This summer, please keep a bowl of water outside your house, shop, or street if you can.
It takes almost nothing from us, but for them it can literally mean survival.

Sometimes compassion is not some grand gesture.
Sometimes it’s just remembering that they’re trying to survive the same heatwave too. 🐾

Coming to Noida from Chennai, for a two month fellowship at Amity University.

What are some things I should be aware of? Which sectors are close to Amity that has a safe net for students and easy access to essentials? Any advise is appreciated 👍

Looking for societies to live in near the Blue Line metro in Noida

Hey r/Noida! I'm planning to move to Noida and want to stay close to the Blue Line metro. I'm a girl, so safety and a secure gated society are important to me.

Which societies would you recommend near the Blue Line stations? Would love to hear from people actually living in those areas, especially women. Any areas or societies to avoid would also be super helpful!

Thanks! 🙏

Looking for cheap meat shops near Sector 110

Anyone know good places near Sector 110 to get decent quality boneless chicken at reasonable prices?

I’m currently paying around ₹550/kg which feels way too high.

Looking for reliable shops/apps with fresh chicken and better rates.

Thanks

AC broke down. How to beat the Heat

How are you guys surviving this heat without AC? 😭

My window AC broke down yesterday and it’ll take 2 more days to get fixed. Last night was an actual nightmare barely slept and the fan just felt like a hair dryer pointed at my face.

Need genuine hacks before I melt this week.

Is Royal Nest Apartment in Tech Zone 4, Greater Noida - 201306 build on a graveyard?

I’ve heard some people say that Royal Nest Apartment in Tech Zone 4 Greater Noida was built on graveyard land.

I’m trying to verify whether this is actually true of just a rumor because I see bad event’s pattern since 2023 in that society?

Twisha Sharma’s death case has taken another disturbing turn after her mother-in-law claimed the family initially believed she was a “cultured girl” before later feeling “everything was a put-on show.”

Companies not giving WFH or even hybrid mode.

44 degrees temperature outside and my company is not even allowing for WFH or even hybrid mode.

Even after advisory issues, no action taken by company.

Seriously, How is WFH not allowed for IT individuals.

Some people have cars, but what about people who use public transport or prefer rapido/uber.

Company is not even giving cab service.

Seriously, Indian work culture is extremely toxic.

💔 Justice for Twisha | 5 Months After Marriage, We Lost Her Too Soon

💔 JUSTICE FOR TWISHA 💔

Twisha was more than just a name.

She was a loving daughter, a caring sister, a beautiful soul, and someone who had countless dreams for her future. Just five months after her marriage, our family lost her forever under heartbreaking and suspicious circumstances. Behind every smiling wedding picture was a girl who deserved love, safety, respect, and happiness.

Today, we are not only mourning her loss — we are fighting for her voice to be heard. We request everyone to stand with us and help us seek a fair, transparent, and strict investigation.

Please share her story.

Please raise your voice.

Please do not let this become “just another case.”

No daughter deserves pain behind closed doors.

No family deserves this silence.

Twisha deserved to live.

Twisha deserves justice.

🙏 Please keep her in your prayers and support us by sharing this post.

High-protein soya paneer tikkis, ~45 grams protein

Made high-protein veg tikkis today with 50g soya chunks + 80g paneer, pan fried without oil. Had them with peanut chutney. Whole meal came out to around 560–575 calories with ~46g protein.
