So, having listened to Make-Up is a Lie quite a bit, I can say it is one of his strongest albums.

Which leads me to question whether many people on the internet are just swayed by the media telling them Morrissey isn’t good.

I see people write a lot about “Morrissey stans” propping up bad music, but I think the people saying this have probably just had some Kool-Aid.

Now my heart is full is pure brilliance.

Now my heart is full is by far my favorite morrissey song, I've probably listened to it atleast 3 times a day for the past 6 months. I can't help but get emotional when listening to it and I personally have no clue what the song means and have not searched it up.

I am currently 21 and in the last few years so much has changed in my life and when I think about it I get extremely sad. It's strange how in such a short time things have completely changed. I no longer play footy with my friends at the park, when I walk down the road I no longer see the elderly couples who would stop and chat me down for 30 minutes, new buildings have been built in my town and others have been removed, I don't have sleepovers with friends and don't talk to others anymore and hangouts are very minimal. Some of my friends are married and some even have kids and when I look at my mom I notice just how much she's really aged.

When I think about all this it affects me and then I listen to now my heart is full and it kinda makes me feel like maybe all this change is fine. Everything I've done and gone through has made me who I am and even though some things are different and gone I still have things dear to me now and more to look forward to in the future.

Anyways that's it, I apologize for the rant and thank you Morrissey for your brilliance. From the heart of my bottom I thank you all.

I’ve met her and she’s terribly nice. I find that it isn’t wise to attempt to judge people on their public persona, and even on the music they make. Because I’ve met so many people whose music I cannot stand, and they’re very nice.

At the same time, I’ve met people whose music I’ve loved, and they’re not the person you’ve invested all this emotion in. And that’s your fault – I mean my fault. Lady Gaga is terribly nice. And her name is very funny, I think. I don’t think her music was ever designed to appeal to people like me. It’s not my type of music.

‘Why isn’t Morrissey a national treasure yet?’ - discussed on new podcast episode

In the latest episode of our podcast, we discuss why, despite his genius, Morrissey is not yet a “national treasure” in the UK, in the same way as people such as David Attenborough or Alan Bennett

We have an interview with the journalist Brendan O’Neill, whose writing features regularly in titles such as the Spectator and Spiked, to talk about this subject

If you haven’t tried our show before, we hope you’ll give it a go. There’s always a ten-question trivia quiz, the host’s grandma reacts to Morrissey tracks for the first time and we analyse the lyrics of songs, plus more, including an exclusive performance by an up-and-coming singer in this latest episode

Is this a Morrissey badge?

Saw it online (in the UK) and cant figure out who Frank is, obviously my brain went right to Morrissey but was wondering if it is actually a Morrissey badge!

I don't know if its because its new, but in my personal rankings I would put it above offerings like Low In High School, World Peace Is None Of Your Business and Years of Refusal, probably Ringleader of The Tormentors too (although I seem to like that album more than most). In any case I think this is one of this strongest offerings in years.

Just looking at some old clips of The Smiths today. Particularly the early days. It’s very evident to me at least, that the way Moz’s hair was and some of his vocal characteristics might suggest some sort of Elvis influence. Maybe it’s just me? 😆😆 I would love some thoughts!

I love Morrissey but i rarely listen to this album because the live tracks from this era are superior to the studio versions imo. Today I had free time to actually sit down & listen to music and fully soak it in. This album is so good, can’t believe I kinda neglect it, I love how the album ends with this calm sounding version of “there’s a place….”

The back to back of “Many Icebergs Ago” and “The Monsters Of Pig Alley” might be my favorite songs on the record. I think he ends this record incredibly beautifully.
