Mn82 CrabWalk

Upgrade to my MN82 rc

Is this a good deal. Will the receiver work with my stock transmitter. Will it be more strong motor no more whining noise from motor?

Advice on Brushless conversion

Hi,
I made a post last year on my battery consumption, and I still have the issue. I think rubbing is part of the problem but even with body raisers, I still have the issue. I am going to try raising the body even more, but I think the stock ESC is also not playing in my favor and the battery cutoff is too high.

I want to try swapping to a brushless kit (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010089223223.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.7917nk5Lnk5L8A&mp=1&pdp\_npi=6%40dis%21CAD%21CAD+135.84%21CAD+67.99%21%21CAD+67.99%21%21%21%402101d97817783699252627971ecbfb%2112000051099356417%21ct%21CA%211902039621%21%211%210%21). Did anybody already install this exact one ? How is the ESC/Motor combo ? Do you get better or worse battery life ? Is the 21g servo worth upgrading ?

Kit includes motor, gearbox, ESC, and compatible receiver.

I also want to try a lipo battery, since the ESC accepts 3S. With this setup, does the 3S make the model go much faster ? With the MN receiver, will the ESC be able to switch between crawling and fast mode like from factory ?

Thanks for the answers !

Current setup :
- big tires

- metal gears and driveshaft

- metal body raisers

- metal rear suspension kit

- stock electronics

Went over to the in-laws (0.7 miles away) for the first time since getting my little truck (slightly modified) and wow what I found. Steep hill 30-40% that’s as-you-can-see being washed out. They’ve tossed rocks in previously and there used to be wooden stairs. My heaven! Made a course of course! She‘s top heavy so it’s a real challenge not to barrel roll down the hill. Going down is even harder. Anyway happy Friday.

Battery type

What batteries can you use with the stock mn82 esc and motor? I was looking at some lipo but didn't know if they would work.

My MN82 is stock. When the steering trim is set fully to the right, it starts having this issue (shown in the video). Can anyone tell me what could be causing it and how to fix it? I’m new to this hobby.

How can I make the old controller work on a new receiver board?

I fried the old one, bought a new one, same brand, frequency, looks, but the controller isn't connecting.

I've already had it since yesterday, and for my first time owning a hobby grade I didn't expect it to be a bit big lol (The photos of this sub make it look small)

I'm planning to fpv with it. Is it worth it? (Yes I'll get a better transmitter)

Upgraded MN82s

My MN82 has gotten a few upgrades, since every upgrade seems to reveal a new problem :D

- New tires

- Resulting body lift

- Front & rear shock absorbers / springs to improve handling

- Plus custom-designed and 3D-printed leaf spring knuckles

- Metal drive shafts, because the travel length is higher for the body lift

- Conversion to 18650 batteries, more run time

- ESC / brushless motor / receiver upgrade since the old board was defective (high battery consumption)

- New servo, stronger to handle the larger tires and the higher weight

- Front and rear axles upgraded to metal; axle bodies still plastic, since a front axle knuckle was broken

It’s running really well right now! Thanks to the MN receiver, I can also use the original remote control and lighting. To make the light work on the new receiver, the plug needs to be modified slightly. To do this, you need to cut off the tabs so that it fits into the receiver.

Now the only weak point left is the plastic main gearbox. So far, it’s holding up :D

A second MN82 so far only has a body lift and the big tires. That one’s for the kids :D

Help with replacing shocks onto mn82

Hey everyone, so I bought these zerorc 59mm shocks from aliexpress, and added the oil onto them, and when I came to put them onto my mn82, they wouldnt fit.

I noticed that the problem was with the bushings (or bearings whatever they call it) because theyre too big to fit in both the top and bottom part where you're supposed to put the shocks at

My ask is: how do I solve this? This is probably my first time modifying my mn82 because I kept it stock for years until now. Please try to explain in terms that are broad and easy to understand. Thanks

I bought the .50 caliber machine gun model on AliExpress.

It looks like a G.I. Joe copy, but it is a detailed model for the price of 10 dollars . The reason I specifically chose this one is that it is 1:12 scale, just like the MN82.

I personally processed and painted the roll cage from an outsourced 3D printout, and also drilled holes for mounting the machine gun.

I plan to install a bull bar on the front later as well.

GI JOE Ma Deuce 50 cal bmg 1/12 figure parts

This is a link to the place of purchase, but there is little stock left. It would be perfect if I just had the figure. Of course, in a size at a 1:12 scale.

Got some Injora T1011 1.0‘s on the stock wheels and what a change. Also took out the plastic leaf springs, put the metal leaf over the axles, then put some 59mm oil filled shocks up front, with 53 mm‘s in the rear to level it back out. Filled the diffs and trans with good graphite grease and it made it much quieter. On the way are metal drive shafts (rear stock one keeps falling out because of the suspension work while going over extreme suspension levels) and metal steering cups and associated hardware. The front wheel „bearings“ are wearing and give the front tires a lot of camber 👎🏻.
