Munson Logger sale 12E

Munson logger black waxed flesh £150 eBay listing on request.

I've worn these boots for nearly a month, and after a while, I found they weren't for me. The wide toe box is great, but the waist was just a bit too strict around the outer midfoot.

As a little review, they're great, solid boots with good materials, great quality control, and thick leather. Unfortunately, just not very wide in the midfoot. Any questions, please ask.

There is an eBay listing on request.

I recently ordered another pair of the Indiana Moc Toe in Brown Full Grain Pull-Up Cowhide, and I’ve run into an issue that I’m hoping others here can weigh in on.

The pair I just received feels noticeably different from my previous one—especially in texture and finish. The new leather feels more like nubuck.  It has a visible nap, and the surface changes slightly when brushed by hand. In contrast, my older pair has the firmer, smoother feel I’d expect from full grain leather.

I’ve already contacted customer service, and they said it’s just variation between batches and that I should just accept it as it is. I understand that leather can vary in shade, creasing, and minor characteristics, but this feels like a more fundamental difference—almost like a different type of leather altogether rather than normal batch variation.

Here's another video angle showing the texture difference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11vngOUnuQj0rv3ZbAKmLHBySeXBXjaMf/view?usp=sharing

For context, I’ve ordered multiple pairs before (for my siblings), and while there were small differences, nothing close to this level of change in texture.

Has anyone else who ordered recently noticed something similar? I’m trying to figure out if this is a one-off issue or if there’s been a broader change in leather.

Appreciate any input!

Sizing question Almond No. 2 last

I'm struggling on what size for an Almond No. 2 last.

My feet measure 10.25 inches (26 Cm) in length - approx. 9 in Brannock

4.2 inches (10.6 cm) wide - approx. 2E average instep

I wear 8.5E in Grant Stone Diesel's Leo last, and they fit well.

In Redwing Iron Rangers I am much shorter, 7.5EE for some reason idk. With Redwing toe space and EE, I suspect this isn't that comparable to Lousjiet single E Almond No. 2 last fitting.

I'm leaning towards a 41E, but depending on feedback might also consider 41.5E or even a 40.5E.

I like a snug fit,

Any suggestions, feedback, info? Thanks.

N.B.D. Classic paratrooper boots- olive waxy.

Just got these in the mail today. Very nice leather. Quite waxy and smooth. It's maybe slightly corrected grain, but very close to full grain. I'm very glad it's not nubuck like some have posted lately in the tan color. There are a few scratches on mine out of the box, which doesn't bother me as these are for work anyway.

The leather is thick, quite supple, yet still stiff as you would expect from an unbroken boot. Will be very nice once broken in & I think it'll patina nicely.

Sizing and fit is perfect from what I can tell from the hour I've had them on my feet. Slightly wider in the mid foot than my Munson loggers in the same size, which suits me. I believe these are the only model offered in this last.

The sole seems quite grippy so far. It's fairly hard without the leather midsole I'm used to, but still comfy.

Positive update - Akita mocs

The missing leather topped insoles arrived, and they’ve made a big difference to the feel of the boots - enough to change my earlier impression of them.

The insoles are thick and firm enough to have taken away most of that sense of instability I was experiencing underfoot initially (with both the foam insoles they’d originally sent, and the harder orthotics I also tried). Their density is just right to provide both support and shock absorption, and they complement the boots so well that somehow every component underfoot now feels better, including the soles themselves. (Not too sure how that works, but it’s a nice bit of design.) It was an immediate difference.

I’d still rather the wedges were flatter so they'd be more supportive at the edges, but it isn’t causing an issue now when I'm walking, so I guess I’ve adjusted to them and started compensating without noticing, now that boots in general feel more “right".

Other than the stiff rolled collars needing some attention, break in has been easy and painless and they’ve become a nice, comfy, casual (read: fairly roomy) fit, and I’m overall really happy with them.

Anyone got the M1940 boot and could advise on fit?

So I'm looking at this model. I wear Iron Rangers in 9.5D, and the same for the Luosjiet Munson paratrooper boot. Had a pair of the Munson Logger boots in a 9.5D too, but they're felt wider/roomier for some reason. I know that I would probably be advised to take the M1940 boot in the same size, 9.5D.

I'm mainly wondering about the fit of the last as opposed to the sizing: do they run narrow/wide? How is the instep? Roomy toe box? These sorts of things, and if you have any comparisons to mainstream lasts/models like Iron Ranger, Nicks/White's, Viberg etc that also might be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Custom city railway boots. I got them in Yellow Brown Oiled Cowhide Reverse size 45E, my bannock size is 11.5 E.

They’re very comfortable and surprisingly lightweight. I did a 2 mile walk right out of the box, no blisters or hotspots. Leather is very supple right out of the box. I have a high instep and there is enough room for me to put my half length superfeet insoles in. My only wish is that on the big toe side they were a little more straight how the munson last is in photos. But these get five out of five stars.
