Anyone got the M1940 boot and could advise on fit?

So I'm looking at this model. I wear Iron Rangers in 9.5D, and the same for the Luosjiet Munson paratrooper boot. Had a pair of the Munson Logger boots in a 9.5D too, but they're felt wider/roomier for some reason. I know that I would probably be advised to take the M1940 boot in the same size, 9.5D.

I'm mainly wondering about the fit of the last as opposed to the sizing: do they run narrow/wide? How is the instep? Roomy toe box? These sorts of things, and if you have any comparisons to mainstream lasts/models like Iron Ranger, Nicks/White's, Viberg etc that also might be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly I'm at the end of my tether here. I've just returned a pair of Rolling Dub Trio Stan boots - built on the CBT02 last, which is widely regarded as a long and remarkably *narrow* last. One full size down from brannock and they still felt way too roomy.

I'm looking for high quality, heritage style boots off the shelf that are actually narrow. For reference I can wear White's 55 last in 10D, and Iron Rangers in 10D - there's a bit of play in these, but with thick socks they work well enough. 10C in these models would be ideal (of course no such size exists in Iron Rangers, but hey ho). Tried these both in 9.5D and while the width seems okay, too short and cramped in the toe box. Brannock size 10.5 B/C.

Any suggestions? What do you wear, fellow narrow footed people?
