Hey guys! I'm about to start my own business designing and selling lightsabers. I wanted to reach out to real people and ask what it is you dont like about buying lightsabers, and what you wish companies would do or show. Could also be stuff that makes buying lightsabers more difficult or unintiuitive. For example, I don't like when lightsaber companies shove "discounts" in your face all the time. I'd like to get rid of that
Need some good recommendations for places to buy from I heard swa are good and the 1977saberfest shop on aliexpress is good just want some recommendations
Does anyone know if and where I could find this beauty used by Kelleran Beq in the Mandolorian? Thanks!
Added bluetooth control functions for Proffieboard:
• Blade brightness adjustment
• Blade length adjustment for 2 separate Data channels (Data 1 and Data 2)
• Clash Threshold adjustment

Im working on modifying my Jedi Mandalorian garb and id like to do a sort of double belt style like in picture 2. Problem is, the saber scabbard is round and doesn't have ridges like historical sword scabbards did. Im not entirely sure how to approach this so I'd love some input!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Starting about 2 years ago, I set a goal for myself to create a better 3d printed lightsaber design. I wanted my design to be completely 3d printable, glueless, sturdy, and not require the use of AMS or painting to make it look good. All of the other ways of constructing lightsaber hilts did not satisfy me. Instead, I created a hilt that's built around an internal bar acting as a frame to align each of the pieces together. The ends are then threaded and act as a tensioner to help keep everything feeling tight and sturdy. Plus, it is very compact! I can get the diameter down to 30 mm and still have reliable buttons, covertec wheels, and more.
I have thoroughly tested this method to be reliable across several different hilt designs and sizes, and have worn, played with, dropped, disassembled, reassembled, and generally fidgeted to my heart's content.
This hilt (Darth Maul's broken lightsaber) is my first to use my working buttons that utilize a fully printed spring. It also has spinning rings and rotating knobs. The covertec wheel is even fully functional and fairly beefy. Even being very sturdy, nothing needs supports either.
I try not to rush my designs, and I hope that I will be able to further improve upon this method continually in the future. I would love to hear any feedback or suggestions in ways I can better my design, or a certain hilt that you would like me to make!

Whats the new best custom saber website since TCSS is stopping production on alot of there custom saber parts? Ik i want the emitter above for my custom saber but i cant find one like it lol, i want my saber to have the diamond knurling with that emmiter and a leather wrap but TCSS was the only place i knew that had those spots, would love some help (also im cool with any saber inspiration in the comments to build one)
I used Saberforge's ASP components with a custom painted hilt, brass thumb screws for easy swapping out of the blade & plug on the fly, and aftermarket copper blade plugs. They've got GHV4 soundboards with DIY electronics and RGB baselitblade for full contact dueling. I'm calling the customized colors "Chlorine Dream" and "Psychadelic State"
The primary hilt is 11" even with a 26" blade and the shoto is 10 & 3/16" with an 18" blade.
I would like to make a double blade lightsaber out of PVC pipe that uses a single blade. This would be on I would use for fighting and don't need electronics and stuff. I might add reflective tape to the ends to simulate the blade, but I wanted to ask is there any good way to make a handle without any reasonable risk of it flinging out during rough dueling (preferably where I could swap out blades that break and the blade being a single peace of pvc). I saw someone recommend on a previous post grip tape would work as a handle, and if it comes down to that is there a specific grip tape recommended or is all grip tape basically the same in this scenario.
I also was curious about the size recommendation for the hilt and the entire staff itself for someone 5'10. I saw someone on a post say it should be slightly smaller than the person, another saying it should be slightly bigger. I am curious and just wanted to ask these questions before buying the material for this project
Hello everyone. Many years ago I bought a skinnyflex from 89sabers. Stupidly I stored it with the battery in. Battery is now bricked. Can anyone help with finding a replacement? Thank you
Hello, I am new to this world and need aid. After a short sword fight with my fiancé and messing around with the different settings, my hand REALLY hurts and has a metal imprint.
How would you guys go about making this look better without compromising the look of the original hilt? I love how it looks, but I don’t want to shred my hand while using it 😅
I’m genuinely over the moon with how this build turned out. This SK started life last year in Jeremy’s (Solo sabers) garage—equal parts hangout, collaboration, and mild chaos with Benji and Jeremy. I went in with a clear vision… and then reality (and my overconfidence with a lathe and a 2.0 blade holder) had other plans. What came out the other side is a very custom Starkiller variant.
Jeremy helped get the core sorted for the Canon Y grip, threading cleanly into the upper blade holder. From there, I paired it with a telegraph replica upper from Roman Props. Building an SK from scratch is unforgiving—if your side screws or cuts are even slightly off, the whole hilt lets you know immediately. Mine definitely did.
So I brought the “learning experience” home and set out to fix it. Between customer work (which rightfully comes first), I chipped away at this one—slowly turning a rough start into something I’m genuinely proud of. Turns out, taking a little time for personal builds isn’t selfish… it’s necessary.
To clean things up and push the design further, I added custom greeblies, including a side plate to tastefully hide some less-than-perfect early decisions, and a brass switch holder that cleverly uses the telegraph bulb release as the activation. The crystal chamber is a modified version of my design from Brad’s (Grifs Lightsabers) Kenobi Unleashed run, now featuring a quartz point and a lab-grown sapphire for a bit of extra presence.
For the chassis, I stepped outside my usual style and leaned into a more industrial panel aesthetic, with a few signature extras layered in.
End result? The profile is exactly where I wanted it. The sound is phenomenal. And more than anything, this hilt means a lot because it was built alongside my best friends —mistakes, fixes, and all.
Easily one of my favorite builds to date.

I’m very new to saber and bought this one brand new. Its been charging with the provided cable for the last couple hours. But every time I try to turn it on or charge it, it does this. Whenever I connect it to the Xeno Configurator app and turn the blade on from there, it connects for a second, flashes for a moment, then disconnects and turns off. I’m honestly kinda losing it with this atp because this is my first time buying one of these and for it to come out broken feels like a punch to both the gut, self confidence and wallet. I’ve already checked everywhere I could, but I still can’t tell if its a battery issue, a general technical issue or a charging-related issue
For example are there any decent hasbro kits that are still on shelves so I dont get ripped off on ebay?
