Rabid Bat Found In a Neighbor’s Basement
Saw these announcements taped to power poles all over the Seven Parks neighborhood this morning. The posted article mentions a Health Department “bite report.”

We Gonna Do Something About This?

Any local service establishments who don’t allow tips?
I occasionally read posts from r/EndTipping. Yesterday, on a post where someone suggested they were going to their hairdresser today to offer a flat fee for their service without tip, one of the responses was you should ask in your local subreddit for a list of businesses which have banned tips to avoid frustrating confrontations. Out of curiosity, are there local service establishments which claim to pay their employees enough to not allow tipping?

KY Democratic Senate candidates talk government shutdowns and Trump’s Iran war in forum
>...
>The top Republican candidates — U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, former state Attorney General Daniel Cameron and businessman Nate Morris — were invited to participate in a forum, but Michael Faris, a businessman from Elizabethtown, was the only one to respond. He was given a 15-minute interview that aired following the Democrats’ forum.
>Asked about where the president’s campaign promises had not aligned with his time in office so far, Faris pointed to the war in Iran, adding that “A lot of people are not too happy with that,” along with the growing affordability issues, such as gas and grocery prices.
...
>The candidates were asked about the government shutdown and Democrats in the Senate approving U.S. Department of Homeland Security funding after federal ICE officers shot and killed two U.S. citizens in Minneapolis in January.
>Booker said ICE “needs to be abolished” and that “There is no negotiating on this topic.” He also blamed the president for the shutdown and added that “he has to own it.”
>McGrath said the shutdown “has been going on for far too long” and admonished the frequency of them. She said that if elected, she would introduce a bill that says during federal shutdowns, members of Congress and their staff would not be paid.
>She was critical of ICE, saying what it has done under the Trump administration “is not what we voted for.” She said she would call to “rein in ICE” and direct federal agencies to respect “the basic constitutional rights of any human being in our country.”
>Romans said he would “never support a shutdown in Washington for any reason.” If there could be a “line-item shutting down” regarding ICE, Romans said, “maybe.” He said shutdowns can put the country’s security and economy at risk.
>“ICE has its place. It needs to be put back where it belongs, on the border, protecting the borders only, not being used as a national police force,” Romans said.
>Stevenson said “the government has no right to shut down” or deny SNAP benefits, referring to when the Trump administration had threatened to not process the federal food assistance during the fall government shutdown.
>“Whatever is done to working families needs to be done to Congress,” Stevenson said. “We sent them to Washington, D.C., to protect us, to hold us, to make sure that we can live the life in Kentucky. And they failed. They need to stop holding us hostage and allow families to thrive.”

Lexington Community Assistance with Pet Medication.
Hey guys, I’m hoping you all might be able to point me in the right directions. Three months ago, our seven year old cat was diagnosed with Feline Diabetes. He has been prescribed Bexacat, which seems to be working really well, he has gotten back to his old self.
His initiative 90 day supply will be out this weak, and I will have to refill his medication. I’m currently laid off, and fighting with unemployment to get paid. (They have an error balance on my account after COVID- working on it getting it resolved)
Anyway, are there any organizations in the Lexington area that help people with needs like that? This medication costs 162.00$ for 3 month supply, and we just can’t swing it right now, especially with these gas prices. Any help, or guidance towards an org that can help, would be greatly appreciated. I can’t stand the idea of this little guy suffering without meds, or worse, losing him. Much love! God Bless!!
MASSIVE Police Presence.
I have no idea wtf happened down town, but holy apparently they felt the need to call every on duty cop, an ambulance, and a fire truck, plus block off everything. Crazy use of resources.
Pallet project
Hello!
I’m working on a project for my farm, and I was wondering if anybody happened to have any heat treated pallets that they may be looking to get off their hands!
They have to be heat treated, they cannot be chemical treated, due to the nature of this project.
If anybody can help, I’d greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
Is there a good places in Lexington or surrounding counties that you can find a good j0b without degree/certificate?
So I’m not gonna lie I kind of have had a crazy past year and a half and because of trying to be employed full-time and also trying to go to college full-time there is a possibility that I lose my financial aid and I’m trying to figure out what to do if God forbid that wants to happen
I know everybody always says that trades and college is the only way to go and I am a 22 year old dude and I just don’t really know. Like are they good employers or employment that people can get here or around the county without having like a certificate/degree?
Also, sorry I was having towards this and the title weird but it wouldn’t let me submit because of the role is for some reason even though I’m not breaking them I’m just looking for suggestions
Dress shirts that fit
I know shirts (that fit in torso but are oversized in arms) can be altered but does anyone know a store in town that would have a better selection of properly fitting dress shirts?
Dog Bakery for Dog Cakes?
Looking for a dog bakery to make a dog cake (we’re using this as our gender reveal and want to involve our pups). Does anyone know any businesses that do this? We used to use the Bluegrass Barkery but they’ve closed and not sure if there are other options. Thanks!
Military vehicles?
Anybody know what the military vehicles are about? Saw at least 8 driving single file on opportunity way. Was there some event happening, or is going to happen?
