Local organizations that assist with emergency pet meds?
Hey guys, I’m hoping you all might be able to point me in the right directions. Three months ago, our seven year old cat was diagnosed with Feline Diabetes. He has been prescribed Bexacat, which seems to be working really well, he has gotten back to his old self.
His initiative 90 day supply will be out this week, and I will have to refill his medication. I’m currently laid off, and fighting with unemployment to get paid. (They have an error balance on my account after COVID- working on it getting it resolved)
Anyway, are there any organizations in the Louisville area (or anywhere else in the region) that help people with needs like that? This medication costs 162.00$ for 3 month supply, and we just can’t swing it right now, especially with these gas prices. Any help, or guidance towards an organization that can help, would be greatly appreciated. I can’t stand the idea of this little guy suffering without meds, or worse, losing him. Much love!
