Here we go…. Dude had 200g of Kratom in his car per the report.
I’m sure there was more in the car, but they made damn sure to point out that he had kratom in the car.

What President Trump likely means by “natural 7-OH” are the trace amounts occurring in plain leaf kratom that would remain legal, according to FDA Commissioner Marty Makary’s 2025 statements
I take the pure leaf, in capsules, not the extract. I can count on one hand how many times I've ever taken the extract, and I believe that shit is way too strong to just sell otc. The regular kratom, on the other hand, I've never had any bad reactions to, even when I went cold turkey and stopped taking it for a year. I take kratom most days to help with my anxiety, some days I skip it and the only side effect I've ever noticed is being slightly more anxious and on edge. The only thing that helps my anxiety the same way kratom does is thc, but I can't always consume that and risk using too much and not being under the influence. With the amount of kratom I take, I never feel 'high' or 'out of it', I just feel calmed down.
All of that being said, I live in a state that is about to ban kratom. I've called and emailed my representatives to tell them how long I've taken kratom and how helpful it has been for me, but I suppose that wasn't enough. I'm less worried for myself, and more worried about those in this state that have been taking it for chronic pain, or to get off harder drugs. I'll be fine; irritable, but fine. I'm not worried about withdrawal as I don't use a large amount or the extract, but other people won't be so fine.
I used to keep my kratom use very quiet, afraid of any assumptions or judgements, but the past couple of months I just can't keep my mouth shut when I hear someone talking negatively about it, because regular kratom helps more than it harms.
(Also, as a side note, I've been routinely going to doctors since I've been taking kratom, and every time my blood work and everything else has been A+)
Edit: this is just my personal experience, I've known one person who DID experience withdrawal, although she was ONLY taking the extract.
It's been over 24 hours since I haven't had kratom and been using it daily since 2020 but a few times a week since 2014. Typically I use 9GPD spaced over two doses I weened myself to 7GPD then one dose a day. I'm not having any withdrawal other than agitation but if I keep myself busy it's not noticeable.
I'm curious how long I can go now.
I always got top tier kratom from very reputable vendors.
It’s not looking good, the anti-kratom movement is gaining steam and reaching mainstream. My last post got deleted because I linked the last week tonight video from YouTube. Go search for it yourself…episode titled “gas station drugs - last week tonight” posted tonight. He really didn’t have anything good to say about it unfortunately, besides “prohibition doesn’t work,” and consumers need to know what they’re taking at the end.
I’m stocking up on powder myself, I fully expect a ban or full restriction within the next two-three years. The extracts, isolates, and especially synthetics are going to ruin it for all of us.
Man…. I’ve been a John Oliver fan in the past for sure but this episode is getting me heated. They cherry picked only negative information about it as well as picked interviews with less than reputable/eloquent people to smear it. They could’ve shown clips from a Leaf of Faith but no.
Is John Oliver a big pharma plant?? Hmmmm
I’m a young woman in my 20s with chronic pain and kratom literally saved me when no doctor wanted to help me. I had a spinal fusion surgery which left me with 2 rods and 23 screws in my back. 10 years after surgery, I now suffer from a bulging disc in my back, degenerative disc disease, arthritis, and sciatica. I’ve been to loads of doctors who don’t want to help me or prescribe anything because “I’m too young to start medication.” so I’ve lived every day in misery until I discovered kratom.
It doesn’t completely eliminate the pain, but it makes it manageable enough to the point where I can work my full-time retail job where I’m on my feet for 8+ hours straight, 40 hours a week. I’ve been hearing about the kratom bans across the US and every day I pray to GOD that my state doesn’t start considering it. (I don’t think they will, but who knows)
I’m so tired of opening tiktok or any social media and seeing people call kratom users junkies and every other name under the sun. I’m truly so tired of it. Because I guarantee I’d get called the same thing if I was getting prescribed opiates for the pain. God forbid chronic pain patients want to have quality of life and live pain-free. God forbid I don’t want to spend the best years of my life lying in bed and crying. There wasn’t a huge point to the post, just wanted to vent and am glad I found this sub 🫶🏻
A few news sources on social media have mentioned it, since Trump talked about it in a speech around an hour or so ago. Has anyone heard about this or seen anything?
Dear Kratom Advocates,
This is a reminder that the American Kratom Association will host an important Kratom Advocacy Update Webinar tonight, Monday, May 11, at 8:30 PM ET. We encourage every advocate who can attend to join us for this important discussion.
Tonight’s update will include a recap of the 2026 state legislative session so far, including the hard-fought successes in defeating kratom ban attempts in states like Iowa and South Carolina. These wins happened because kratom advocates stood up and worked with our legislative teams.
We will also discuss the lessons learned from states where ban efforts advanced, including Tennessee, Kentucky, and likely Kansas.
🏛️** New Federal Advocacy Details Announced Tonigh**t
During tonight’s webinar, the AKA team will also announce new details about the upcoming Federal Congressional Briefing and Legislator Education Day.
This will be a major opportunity for advocates to help educate members of Congress, staff, and federal policymakers about kratom consumers, responsible regulation, and the importance of protecting access to safe kratom products.
We’ll share more about what is being planned, how advocates can participate, and why federal engagement is more important than ever.
Please join us tonight, Monday, May 11, at 8:30 PM ET
I've been taking kratom daily for about the last 11 years and quite a bit three times a day. Reason being pain from multiple joint replacements, some replaced twice. Not including the 7 or 8 surgeries on every joint on my body. All of them due to football but mostly over training with weights for 30 years. After all these years they have caught with me. My back being by far the worst which I need assistance to walkl. Any human being with multiple surgeries year after year after year will begin to have addiction problems to opioids which I avoid at all costs unless it's right after a surgery.
So back to my blood work. I'm probably old enough to be everyone's father on this site. Even grandfather with some.
Bloodwork came back today. It's been the best ever since 2002 . Two just a percent outside the normal range but at my age that's to be expected. I know watching my diet and swimming on a daily basis had most to do with it being better but it shot-down the Scare tactic used by anti Kratom doctors and so-called researchers . For me anyway.
Edit: To be noted I've only taken the "powdered leaf natural kratom" in 11 years.
So I’ve been taking kratom for about 1.5–2 years and never really had issues like this before.
A few days ago I took around 6–7 grams of a fermented red strain. Not long after, I started feeling really weird — blurry/cloudy vision, nausea, dizziness/lightheadedness, anxiety, confusion, and just generally felt awful. I ate a sandwich and chips, laid down, and eventually went to sleep. I assumed I just took too much because the batch seemed really strong.
I took a couple days off afterward. Then today I tried only about 2 grams of kratom (which normally never gives me problems), and the blurry vision/anxious feeling came back again.
One thing I noticed before all this started is that I’d wake up with way more eye crust/dryness than normal. Someone mentioned dehydration could be the issue, and honestly I probably don’t hydrate enough on a daily basis.
So now I’m wondering:
- Could kratom + dehydration be causing this?
- Has anyone else suddenly become sensitive to kratom after taking too much of a strong batch?
- Has anyone experienced blurry vision/dry eyes/anxiety from kratom or dehydration?
- Did taking a break and rehydrating fix it for you?
Just looking for honest feedback from people who may have experienced something similar.
But unsure if they passed the amendment to ban synthetics or not? 7 lobbyists have run amuck in this hearing, but even SLED agrees natural kratom isn't the problem.
Hi! It's been just over a year of taking Kratom. I take for different reasons than most do on here.
I take Kratom for pre workout and to attack the day with productivity and energy.
At 4;45am, I take 2.5 grams of Kratom capsules with 8oz of black coffee, 45 min before I workout. This does not give me "energy ", it gives me a focus, that feels like energy. It lasts throughout the 1.5 - 2hr workout. It has never failed me, not even once!
I then take 55mg of mitragynine extract (isolate) at 9am. Not a minute before or after. I'm very strict with Kratom and I never deviate from my schedule. This lasts until 4:30 - 5pm. I then feel it leaving my body. I never take more after 9am.
I know it helps many people with chronic pain and such. I am glad it helps those in need! I just wanted to put it out there, that it works for other stuff too.
Have a great day everyone!
Looks like he signed the gerrymander maps too. Going for maximum damage I guess.
So begins the taper. Or maybe I should just move!
Kratom has always been on the big pharma naughty list but they had to try hard to demonize kratom since it takes drug cocktails to cause any kind of dangerous interactions but now with the concentrated and synthetic products we are sitting ducks. If you took a dozen caffeine capsules would end up in the hospital but no one is trying to ban caffeine. This seems like a well orchestrated assault to drag kratom to the dirt and newer derivative made it easy.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to push our luck by manufacturing more extreme products... they are the ones to blame.
As a normal Kratom user I am worried how I will deal with my pain when it is banned.
if you live every second in agony why not take something that makes your quality of life better? i used to see it as a bad thing but there are worse alternatives. i wake up in emotional and sometimes physical agony due to mental illness and medications i have stopped a long time ago trying to do things the “right way” a little withdrawal wont exactly ruin me.. if that means im able to go outside again able to be around people able to eat again you know what i mean? for example you wouldnt tell a stage 4 cancer patient not to smoke weed because its “taboo” or something you dont like.. if it improves their quality of life and they aren’t exactly gonna get better why should i care thats my mindset if it helps you it helps you
Hi all. I’m really glad I found this sub. Reading long-term kratom success stories encouraged me to try using it more consistently instead of only occasionally.
About 6 weeks ago I started taking kratom daily for chronic pain and anxiety, and honestly it helped much more than I expected. I take about 8–10 gpd total, split into smaller doses throughout the day, and I only use raw leaf powder.
Before kratom I was spending hours lying down in pain, struggling to make it through family events, and barely able to exercise. Since starting daily use, I’ve been running several miles a day, helping around the house again, and sleeping better.
The two biggest improvements have been pain and anxiety. It’s one of the few natural substances that has significantly improved my functionality and quality of life.
What I’m noticing now, though, after about 6 weeks, is that my body seems to be adapting somewhat. I no longer get much of the strong mood boost, and I notice a bit more emotional dysregulation/anxiety creeping back in. However, my overall functioning still seems much higher than before kratom, and it still helps my pain quite a bit.
I’m curious whether others experienced a strong initial response followed by more of a plateau. And when it plateaued, did your baseline still remain meaningfully improved compared to being without kratom?
Part of my hope is that if kratom can help sustain a more functional baseline for a while, I can use that time to build healthier habits, calm my nervous system, and maybe eventually taper slowly down the road.
Would really appreciate hearing long-term experiences from others. Thanks everyone.
Anyone else experience this phenomenon? I've taken kratom for about 20 years for pain, and I've noticed that when I'm sick, I seem to also experience unusual cravings for it, my pupils dilate, restless legs, etc.. Luckily I don't seem to catch colds and flus often but this week I've been knocked on my ass with the flu.
I'd write it off as just wanting to feel better, but with the physical symptoms I believe there's more to it. Brains are weird and so is kratom sometimes lol. Feeling much better today and I can go back to being a mild mannered tea drinker.
