**What is Kataang Week? When is it?**

Kataang Week is when we, as a corner of the fandom, celebrate the ship Kataang! The prompts for the event were submitted by fans and went through four rounds of voting to end up with these selections, chosen by Kataangers. It begins on the final Monday of July and runs through the following Monday. This year Kataang Week 2026 starts on Monday, July 27th and ends on Monday, August 3rd.

**What are the prompts?**

The following will be the running order for Kataang Week 2026:

Soulmates - Monday, July 27th
Domestic Life - Tuesday, July 28th
Jealousy - Wednesday, July 29th
Growing Together - Thursday, July 30th
Arranged Marriage - Friday, July 31st
Cloudbabies - Saturday, August 1st
Adult Intimacy - Sunday, August 2nd
Free Day - Monday, August 3rd

As always, there is a Free Day at the end of the week. You can use this day to post anything you’d like! It can be a prompt that didn’t receive enough votes or something you’ve been wanting to work on, anything goes!

**Alright, I'm in. How do I participate?**

The most common ways to participate are by creating art or writing a fic and posting it online. Some people try and create something for every day while others only fill one or two prompts. If you can't write or draw, that’s totally fine - there are more ways to participate! You can sing a song, create a graphic, make a video edit, share images/clips from gameplay - just about anything really. You can also show your support by sharing, liking, and commenting on other people’s contributions.

**Where should I share?**

Well aside from sharing on here of course... If you're on Tumblr, tag your work with "kataang week" and the Kataang Week blog will reblog you. If you're on Twitter/X, the user dailykataang has agreed to host there.
If you use Discord, the Kataang server will be up for chatting about all things Kataang Week. They’re planning a WIP Wednesday event where you can drop sneak peeks of what you're working on and get feedback.

A huge round of thanks for everyone who submitted, and for all of you who voted so far. We started with nearly 150 amazing prompts submitted by the Kataang community, and then Kataangers have continued to show up to narrow down the choices. This round we have the top 30 vote-getters.

This is the FINAL ROUND of voting, running through the end of the day Saturday. Please follow the link above once this week to cast your vote for your favorites. When all voting concludes, the top selections will be the official prompts for the seven main days of Kataang Week. Provided everything runs smoothly, the winning set should be announced roughly a week from now (May 11 or 12), in time for creators to have 10-11 weeks to work their magic.

Please don't be discouraged if prompts you submitted or voted for have gotten cut along the way. As always, there will be a free day in addition to the seven main prompts. This means you can use any of the prompts that were initially listed, or come up with your own ideas!
