Live Map of Western Slope Food Trucks

I wanted to share a free community tool I just finished building.

If you're ever trying to figure out what food trucks are actually open today (and where they are parked), I put together a live map that tracks their schedules in real-time. No more guessing or scrolling through old social media posts.

🌮 Food Trucks Map: https://foodtrucks.westernslope.digital/

Also, since it's the season for local produce, I built a sister site that maps out all the local farmstands across the Western Slope so you can easily find fresh veggies, bread, eggs, and more.

🌽 Farmstands Map: https://farmstands.westernslope.digital/

If you run a food truck or farmstand (or know someone who does), tell them to add themselves! It's totally free to join. Hopefully, this makes it a little easier to support our awesome local vendors.

Grand junction community, please BE CAREFUL when you seek medical attention. Ask questions. Stay with your loved one. Be persistent when needed. There has been a sickening amount of major medical errors at St. Mary recently, including several that resulted in patient death. Not sure what has changed recently but something has definitely changed!

This is 100% Intermountain Health, St. Mary is at critical staffing levels and IMH refuses to hire more staff or pay their current staff better. We’ve lost 10% of our nurses since December when we took a massive pay cut on top of already shitty condition. They have brought in travelers because we are in crisis instead of paying us a living wage.

City Market New Chili Find... Nope.

I had to check the expiration date based on the smell.

It is not thick. Possibly it was meant for a dip?

No idea.

The mop bucket in Satans kitchen MAY taste better.

I have no insurance and have a suspected sinus infection and ear infection I want to get checked.

I would preferably would want to keep costs below $200 but mainly just want to avoid surprise charges.

Flipped Semi on I70? What happened?

Hey all. Was driving back from rifle today, and they had us detour off the interstate at Parachute, and we drove the side road all the way to Debeque.

We saw the aftermath of what happened. Looked like a semi flipped, the cab was crushed like an aluminum can. The entire trailer was ripped open. Looked like a crazy accident. I'm assuming the driver was a fatality.

Just wondering if anyone had any additional info on what happened? It was a scary looking scene.

I have a week to tool around Colorado from Denver to Grand Junction. Anyone have advice for the best spots to stop? Oddest roadside attraction? Best diner burrito? Best dive bar? I'm open to any advice on what to check out.

Looking for another roommate

Hello, figured I'd try posting here since FB Marketplace hasn't been much help when finding decent roommates.

Rent: 700$ (Utilities not included)

Location: 10mins East of CMU

House Details: 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 living rooms, kitchen + laundry appliances

Current roommate age range: 23-27yr

You’ll be living with three easygoing roommates (2 guys, 1 girl) who all work full-time and are currently studying for certifications. The two guys share a bathroom, and our current female roommate would prefer another girl to share hers with.

We’re all respectful of each other’s space while still keeping a friendly, social atmosphere around the house. We’re big fans of river float season and enjoy hanging out together from time to time, whether that’s cornhole and backyard games, Mario Kart, or poker nights. We also do a good job keeping the common areas clean and are always willing to help each other out when needed

Howdy folks,

I will be visiting family in the area and would like to know any food spots in the Grand Junction area recommended by people the grand junction sub. I’ve already identified a sprouts market, Jersey Mike’s, and a planet fitness. Are there any places to avoid?

Being around my family can get taxing. so, I figure I’ll be able to keep my 2 a-day workouts. The challenge is my family like most families, plans everything around food. Mainly battered and fried food.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Rehab Professionals - St. Mary's, Community, or Family West

Hello!

I am an OT currently working with chronic illness/chronic pain in an outpatient specialty clinic, but happy working in all settings. I grew up on the front range and currently live on the east coast. I am looking to relocate in the next year to Grand Junction to be closer to my family out there at least for a bit. I will be supporting myself and my dog on my salary alone. Can anyone give me honest input on the hospitals out there as employers (and also patients as I know it is likely that my providers will be tied to the network I work for)? Income is important to me since I do have to support myself, but a healthy work environment is as well.

Is there a place in Grand Junction to buy fresh-made fruit/vegetable juice, or even freshly-bottled? Bonus points for organic. Google Maps is not being helpful. I'm visiting soon and don't particularly want to bring my juicer, but juicing really helps with some health issues I have. Thanks for any guidance.

The BLM website says May 1 is the typical opening date, but Google Maps seems to think it is still closed. I am planning a trip at the end of the month and am wondering if I should expect to be able to take the road from 65 to the overlook. Thank you for your help.

On Saturday, I received my property value notice from the county assessor office. If you have received one, you know that its printed on two sides, folded and taped. One side of the notice (name and address at one side of the fold; and the summary and appeal form on the other side of the fold) is correct for my property. The other side of the notice which contains the details for the assessment (hidden until you open the tape), was for another property about 5 miles away totally unrelated in any way to me.

BTW, the assessed value on my property seems correct, and looking up my account on the assessors website ties back to what I received (on half of my notice, anyways).

Of course, I'm a little puzzled.... Planning to go to the assessor office tomorrow (tues) to ask about it, but thought I would post here to see if anyone else had the same thing happen....

I've lived in this part of the state for only a couple of years. But the Yawpers were a solid part of my front range music experience for like a decade. They took a break a couple years ago and just announced a new tour. Now that I live on the western slope I AM STOKEDDDD to see they're going to have a show at Big B’s and also in Ridgeway at the end of May. They're so freeeaaaking good and Nate's voice is unbelievable! Just have to put it out there that I highly recommend making it to their show
