I need a game I can play while listening to music and turning by brain off after a long day. *Doesn't have to exactly fit my criteria* but it'd be nice.

I just need a gane to hop on after a long day at school

blast some music in my headset and play. I want it to be

infinite or infinitely replayable (optional but perferable)

and I want it to be so I can kinda turn my brain off and be

with the music and my thoughts (also optional but nice)

Some inspo would be dead cells, minecraft, terraria (the

inspo is not that accurate and it doesn't have to be those

genres but thats kinda similar to the vibe I'm going for).

The game doesn't have to fulfill my criteria just drop

something you think would work for me. Or just a drop a

good/chill game in general.

Crimson Desert a good choice for a fantasy open-world lover?

This subreddit has been incredibly helpful in the past, so I’m reaching out for your insights.

I’ve spent countless hours watching Crimson Desert reviews and livestreams over the past week, and I’m eager to hear from those who’ve played Elden Ring, Witcher 3, and Breath of the Wild.

As a fantasy open-world lover, I’m drawn to games that offer a sense of discovery and awe while exploring. Breath of the Wild was a game-changer for me; I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in the world after work. Elden Ring had a similar effect once I got into the groove of a Souls game. Witcher 3, however, didn’t quite capture my interest. LOVED the world, but the combat didn’t hook me, and I’m terrible at inventory management, so I eventually lost interest.

Games like Odyssey and Valhalla were enjoyable to play, but I felt like I was simply checking off boxes rather than truly discovering and inhabiting the world.

Thoughts on if CD might resonate with me? Exploration and natural discovery are important to me, while repetitive gameplay and excessive inventory management can be off-putting.

I appreciate any thoughts or guidance you can offer. I understand that you can’t truly know if a game is for you until you play it, but I’m open to your suggestions. Thanks everyone!

Desperate for a new game. Please help!

I’m a dad who works and loves spending time with his family. That’s said, gaming is my happy place. I only get maybe a 3-5 hours pwr week to game. Maybe enough for other people in my circumstance but definitely doesn’t feel like a lot. I find myself revisiting the Witcher 3, cyberpunk 2077, call of duty because it’s instant gratification but I’ve got 100s of hours into all those games over the course of years that I’m desperate for something new. I’ve beat RE9 recently and it was amazing while it lasted, but not really in the mood to replay it just yet. Dreading playing as Grace again!

I like games that have me hitting the ground running. I love fast paced action games that have a great story and really good graphics. Really just want an escape but one that also has you kicking ass in the process. Downloaded Elden ring and lasted about 3 hours before requesting a refund from steam. Soulsborne games definitely not for me. Any help would be super appreciated.

titanfall 2: loved it

RDR2: meh, was fine wouldn’t jump into it

Doom Eternal: good for bit, might jump back in

Hellblade 1&2: very cool. Gorgeous experience

Arc raiders: meh. Too much work for little pay off

Final Fantasy 16: heard great things, never played (cinematics look amazing though)

Diablo 4: obsessed for a while, no urge to jump back in

No idea where to start

Getting back into gaming after years off. Now in my 30’s, I’m much more casual and value the social aspect over competitive. Buddy said he’d sell me a PC so here I am.

Used to play a lot of shooters (COD, Halo, Battlefield, etc) but know I can’t compete with the sweaties. If suggesting a shooter game, I’d rather it be more co-op based, like Helldivers 2 looks good to me.

Most recent games I enjoyed were Witcher 3, RDR2, and Bloodborne. Last of Us was ok. I liked rocket league because I didn’t have to invest a ton of time into playing.

Also would like to try strategy games. Used to play Stronghold 2 way back and loved it. Never got into Civ but that looks fun to me now. I imagine LoL being too sweaty for me.

Will probably play 80% multiplayer and occasional single player.

Any and all suggestions welcome, thank you!

Need a Game to Play While I’m Feeling Like This

I’m struggling to play anything lately. I’m just not feeling good at all. I know the problem is with me. My focus is just not there. I get restless easily and can’t stick with anything.

Usually horror games make me feel alive. I like the adrenaline rush. But I think I played everything already…

I’m open to anything else really. Not just horror. What I need is something to lose myself in. I miss being mentally engaged like that.

At the moment what I’m considering is…

Hire P.I Mouse. I like the noir vibe but it’s not as fun as Bendy for example. I feel it’s borderline silly and I can feel myself getting bored soon. Combat too simplistic.

Pragmata seems interesting. Played the demo last night and I enjoyed the combat but the story looks cheesy. I feel they’re trying so hard to make it as solid as TLOU1.

Pokopia. Not a fan of Pokémon at all but I heard this one is good so considering it. Not sure.

Zelda TOTK. I liked the first one but this one doesn’t feel the same. I dropped it after an hour or so.

A.I.L.A. Almost 5 hours in. It’s interesting but not as scary as Visage or other games I liked.

What other games can you suggest? It can be on any platform.

Slow burn creepy-ish games...

SOOO examples I have are like Firewatch, Night In The Woods, The Long Dark, We Harvest Shadows.. Darkwood where the focus isn't always on the spooks or scares but there is something spooky happening? I like the silence of walking around between semi creepy environments and the feeling of being unnerved and confused not straight up horror BUT if the atmosphere is great and creepy leading up to the horror bits feel free to recommend also! Slow burn semi lonely creepy is big preferred, Thank you for taking time to read!! <3

PC games that play surprisingly well with a controller

Can you all suggest me some PC games that wouldn't normally be thought of as ones that work well on a controller? I want some games that I can chill out on my couch and play, but I'm tired of racing, fighting, and 3rd person action games. TIA

My friend Ant is ass (34)

My boy Ant ain’t good in any online video games, we’ve been doing a lot of FPS and he struggles. We’re thinking dead by daylight or something more easy going could workout for him for team based play. What yall think?

I want to overcome my fears!

Hello Reddit! I've decided to overcome my fears (and my anxiety) and play some games with more combat and action! I've always played cozy games so I don't know where to start.

I want to clarify that I get extremely anxious playing horror games, with jumpscares, extreme violence, or very deformed creatures. So please keep that in mind! I'm looking for exploration, survival or anything like that.

Feel free to ask questions or recommend games! I'm tired of living in fear and playing the same games; maybe something with a bit of violence will help me overcome this. (English is not my first language, so excuse me for any mistakes.)

Games like dysmantle on ps5?

I know there is a new game in early access on steam called Dysplaced but it's not available on ps5 yet. I really loved dysmantle because it's not too difficult and I suck at shooters, and can't have a game too difficult.

Please suggest other games I can play 😊 thanks in advance!

Fate/diablo like dungeon rpg games where you endlessly explore and end with a crapton of equipment?

I remember the good days of D1 and Fate, especially Fate being less restrictive on whatever class or mix of clases you wanted to be depending on your equipment and to keep on, and on, and on, and on, and... well, you know the rest.

Explore, kill, loot, craft, sell, buy, enchance, become powerful, get fucked at some point and bow revenge against whatever killed you.

I'll usually go for roguelikes but, those often scale the fuck up on difficulty after like 10 floors lol.

need something to play after Elden Ring and DS3, but have FromSoft fatigue.

ps5. I played 200 hours of ER over the winter. just finished DS3 after that. ER was life changing. DS3 was good but not life changing. I tried Bloodborne and Sekiro and DS1 and they're all cool and I'll play them eventually and I still need to do the ER and DS3 DLC's but I have some serious From Software fatigue. I'm tired of dying on the same sections of the game or the same bosses over and over and over and over.

I tried Mortal Shell but didn't like it. Nioh 3 demo was better but still no. I think I don't want a soulslike. I love BOTW but not TOTK and I also don't have a Nintendo anymore. I used to love roguelikes but I'm tired of them. Returnal burned me out and I didn't like Hades 2 as much as I liked Hades and Cult of the Lamb was exhausting because of the cult management part. I tried RDR2 and it was excruciatingly boring.

I think I maybe have a problem where souls games made other games seem boring but also I'm tired of dying thousands of times in souls games.

Easy to play and fun

Looking for a new game to play that is easy to get into and has a quick start but that also doesnt get boring and repetitive after the first few hours of playing. Ive tried rogue-likes but usually end up getting tired of the gameplay loop after just a couple winning runs. I want a game that i dont NEED to put hundreds of hours into but am still able to have fun with even after those hundreds of hours. Idk if a game like that exists but let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

game recommendations

since I've built my mid-tier pc in 2024, I haven't even finished one story game, I always end up dropping it or forgetting about it, and It's sad because I have loved gaming since I was a child and now every game I try seems pale, or just so unoptimized making the experience is awful, I love all genre's expect Turn-Based, I just can't do it for some reason, I love games with pretty scenery, forests, snow, just nature in general, I have recently played Sons of the Forest I enjoyed the world and the forests but the game was really disappointing tbh, also racing games and drifting, I also really loved theHunter: Call of the Wild, I still do, just rarely play it, it started being a little too slow for me, I also love old games and the graphics in them, I really like half-life 1 and 2 I really like the atmosphere in them, also emotional games with a good story, I really liked road 96, and fire watch, I tried playing Outer Wilds but just it didn't grab me and I refunded it, In conclusion I'm just looking for a game that will spark my interest in gaming again. (sorry if there's lots of mistakes and reused words, my english is not the best)

Visually appealing turn base games that are good

Expedition 33 was one of the best games for me appealing animations, insane story and world, and has one of the most creative combat. Honkai star rail was really fun at the beginning with probaly the best animations til it turned into just building and meta. So yeah Im looking for a tb with appealing visuals. dont take me wrong I love turn base, I still play slay the spire and persona and ect, but it kinda gets bland from time to time when the best attack they could muster is a slash with a grunt and the smallest explosion in history
