Crimson Desert a good choice for a fantasy open-world lover?

This subreddit has been incredibly helpful in the past, so I’m reaching out for your insights.

I’ve spent countless hours watching Crimson Desert reviews and livestreams over the past week, and I’m eager to hear from those who’ve played Elden Ring, Witcher 3, and Breath of the Wild.

As a fantasy open-world lover, I’m drawn to games that offer a sense of discovery and awe while exploring. Breath of the Wild was a game-changer for me; I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in the world after work. Elden Ring had a similar effect once I got into the groove of a Souls game. Witcher 3, however, didn’t quite capture my interest. LOVED the world, but the combat didn’t hook me, and I’m terrible at inventory management, so I eventually lost interest.

Games like Odyssey and Valhalla were enjoyable to play, but I felt like I was simply checking off boxes rather than truly discovering and inhabiting the world.

Thoughts on if CD might resonate with me? Exploration and natural discovery are important to me, while repetitive gameplay and excessive inventory management can be off-putting.

I appreciate any thoughts or guidance you can offer. I understand that you can’t truly know if a game is for you until you play it, but I’m open to your suggestions. Thanks everyone!
