#Honestly, it’s irritating and frustrating. I don't know, if any of you can relate with this or not!
I’ve been facing this issue with CRED for some time now. It doesn’t let me check my bank balance instantly using the normal UPI method, instead it asks me to set up biometric authentication first. There’s no option to skip it.😑
I spoke to customer care, and the agent said this is a mandatory setup by CRED for checking balance as well as paying someone money upto 5k. I asked if this was mandatory by RBI or any governing body, and she said no.
"if I’m comfortable using my UPI PIN, why am I being forced to add biometric authentication just to check my balance?"
Personally, using a PIN feels more secure. You actually get a moment to review the details before entering it on the final page.
With biometrics, it’s just instant approval and can sometime lead to wrong transactions.
*What can we actually do in this situation? *Is it even legal to make this mandatory? *Can this be raised with any regulatory body?
Used to feel premium few years back. Now I’m paying 50k+ cc bills to unlock:
₹1 cashback
some random coupon for luxury dog food
17 lakh cred coins that can’t buy oxygen
Need alternatives that are genuinely better for:
cc bill payments
UPI rewards
cashback that isn’t psychological warfare
Seeing people mention CheQ, Kiwi, super.money, Amazon Pay etc but every thread becomes sponsored-sounding after 5 comments.
What are you guys ACTUALLY using rn? And realistically how much value are you getting monthly?”
Hi everyone,
I have a credit card bill of ₹6,40,000/- to pay and I want to make sure I get the maximum benefits out of paying it.
Would love to hear your experiences and recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Anyone have these coupons text me I want to buy that
Selling my Cliq fashion coupon which I got from cred which gives 250 off with 250 as minimum order value for ₹100
Is there any good alternative for cc bill payments that give good cashback like cred used to give initially
Fine print: need ₹5,000 in coins to unlock.
₹5K coin wall for ₹200 of mangoes. Check your balance before getting excited.
Its a mutual fund bill not a credit card bill , so the cashback will really come through ? Using cred for the first time so dont know much..thank you in advance.
No other options for me. 5000 rs is really huge for me.
Looking to use kuvera surplus feature, emailed them but got a generic response that it will be enabled for all last week.
