Found roach on food I got delivered

Hi everyone, this morning I ordered delivery from Crumbl cookie and also posted on the Crumbl subreddit about it. A few people identified it as a German roach which I guess are the ones that breed and infest like crazy.

My main question is, if the box was in my apartment for somewhere around 5-10 min and then I immediately put it in a trash bag and tossed it in a dumpster outside, should I be setting traps just to be safe. My mom lived in a roach infested apartment in college and has lectured me my whole life about being super careful about bringing them home from places. I’m just paranoid now that there could have been another one that escaped and could start an infestation in my apartment. How do I go about dealing with this?

What type is this? Found Under husbands work shoes (his workplace has roaches) how worried&next steps? Indiana.

Never seen before. No pest issues since moving in in November. Found under husband’s work shoes. He works in a place with roaches. Could he have brought it home and what should we do other than calling pest control? I put his shoes outside then saw the big bug by our trash can and don’t know if it’s related. We have sprayed for ants recently. TIA

Is this a roach?

Hi, I found this today in my kitchen 🤮 is it an oriental roach or is it different ? I’ve seen oriental in our garage & outside our apt complex, pest control already came by to spray ,but one week later this made its way inside our place😩. I’m located in California.

Help with ID? In Ohio.

Ohio. I have found two different cockroaches in upstairs bathroom. One appears to have wings (first two pictures) and was slightly larger. The first was found during the day walking on the floor, the second (third picture) was found at night on the floor. They were both black or dark brown.

I think they are not German roaches, but may be Oriental? If you can ID, can you help me tell which features help you identify? I have a hard time to differentiate Oriental roaches from wood cockroaches.

We seem to find them occasionally when it is warm outside. I haven't seen any in the winter months yet. We have been in this house for nearly two years and over time I have seen a total of perhaps 6-8 roaches like these. Last time I posted a photo, was informed that it is Parcoblatta sp.

Thank you!

Cockroach found in bathtub 🛀🏻 😳

All bugs freak me out. I live in Northern California & have had 3 cockroaches appear in my bathtub over the last few weeks. It is getting hotter & they love to come up the drain to find water. Is there anything I can pour down the drain to get rid of them?

What kind of cockroach is this?

I’m currently staying in a Florida beach house in port saint joe and just stumbled across this gal. She didn’t move but she had an eggsac. She doesn’t look like a German but I was wondering if I should be worried about bringing one of these home in my luggage ?

What is this?

Can someone tell me what this is? I moved into this apartment in Alabama over the weekend and have seen several of these sporadically. This evening was the most I’ve seen at once. I saw 3 in our kitchen/living area and two in my shower. They’re very tiny, I’ve never seen roaches this small but it looks like one.

Type of roach in home

Hi. I live in south Florida and found this guy high up on my wall. I couldn’t get any good pics but when I sprayed with bug spray it flew so I ran. Any idea on what type of roach it was?? The stripe reminded me of a German roach but it seemed big to be a German. It was smaller than American roaches I’ve seen. Sorry again for the not so best pictures.

Is this a German, wood, or other type of roach or bug? (Living room, Massachusetts)

Hi. Sorry for the poor photo quality. I saw this bug today in my living room. I have never seen a bug like this before in my house. I did initially think this was a carpet beetle, but I don’t think it is it.

We were hiking today for a bit if that is any help-heavily wooded area/decaying trees.

I did not see a black band across the head, but could be wrong. Wood roach? German? Something else?

Thanks for your time.

ID of this cockroach nymph?

SWFL region. Found near my stove earlier today. I do not think this is a german nymph. The back coloring is too artistic. Any ideas?

For some context, I just moved into this apartment about a month ago. My roomates have been living here since August. I was told that they had issues when they first moved in but that it has improved. One of my roommates claims to have not seen any since they first moved in. It is getting warmer here, so that’s my concern. I already went around the kitchen a few weeks ago and applied some advion in some cracks and corners. I actually found this in the fridge. It kind of fell down from somewhere when I opened the refrigerator. I have not seen any roaches myself in the month I have lived here but this isn’t a. Good sign.

Should I be concerned?

Hey all,

Found this dude crawling from under the dishwasher. I take it it’s a cockroach. Around 2 inches. I am very much not a nature guy so tell me what I should do to make sure the house is not infested.

Is it possible to ID from a side profile?

brooklyn, ny

context: 2 weeks ago I found 2 dead roaches in my room (one was def fresh, the 2nd was after scrubbing through every corner of my room and finding it under a pile of cables, not sure how long it had been there). exterminator came the next day and filled holes in the radiator where i suspected they came from (in other parts of the house when seen, they were always by the radiators) and sprayed. just saw this one today along the same wall, although further away from the radiator. i’m guessing theyre american roaches because they’ve all been roughly bigger than 1 inch and look somewhat reddish, this was the only photo I got because it started moving a bit and i didnt want to fuck around with it anymore lol. this is the most ive seen in a short time period since living here, before the past 2 weeks theres only been one off isolated incidents several months apart.

is it worth calling the exterminator again or do i just have some real bad luck? my lease is up in sept and my building is getting foreclosed on so i dont know how much my landlord cares. what else can i be doing?

I have around 6 cockroaches in my room right now, so I have decided to deploy the tactical cats to try and deal with them. It is 12 in the morning and I have school tomorrow. I can’t sleep in my room cause the roaches till it now. they are at least 4 inches long. Pretty sure there what we call “palmetto bugs,” and they can fucking fly. Like, fast. We are also extremely poor so no exterminator. Should I burn down my house or keep the cats at them? I am so fucked bro💔

Edit: I have been hiding in the bathroom with bleach spray and a shoe while my cats do their thing. I won’t let them do this in the future but I do not know how to stop their wrath so I’ll leave them for tonight. I’ll also get those glue traps, thanks a lot yall!
