Is this a German, wood, or other type of roach or bug? (Living room, Massachusetts)

Hi. Sorry for the poor photo quality. I saw this bug today in my living room. I have never seen a bug like this before in my house. I did initially think this was a carpet beetle, but I don’t think it is it.

We were hiking today for a bit if that is any help-heavily wooded area/decaying trees.

I did not see a black band across the head, but could be wrong. Wood roach? German? Something else?

What bug do you think this is? (Massachusetts)

Hi. Sorry for the poor photo quality. I saw this bug today in my living room. I have never seen a bug like this before in my house. At first I thought it was a carpet beetle, but am not sure.

We were hiking today for a bit if that is any help—in a heavily wooded area.

Cursory searches may suggest a roach nymph. I did not see a black band across the head, but could be wrong. Wood roach? German? Something else?
