I took this carburetor off my 1969 international 1100d. I thinks it’s a 1904 Holley carburetor. I know there are differences between internationals and amcs and fords. It’s an international 240 inline 6. I was hopping to find out exactly what this carb is and what rebuild kit to buy. Thanks a lot.

If any more information or pictures is needed please let me know.

Not sure where this linkage goes

Trying to find where this linkage goes on a quadrajet for an 82 GMC. I found it sitting on the engine and I'm not sure if it goes next to the other linkage on there or somewhere else.

1982 f-150 2150 carb

What would cause this? I figure it’s the carb, just wondering what could be plugged/broken etc. I’ve had the carb open, however I haven’t gone too deep, I’m just trying to get it running ok for as cheap as possible.

Thanks in advance!

Stuck Needle & Seat

I’m working on a carburetor for the first time in my life, so I am at the bottom of the learning curve.

It’s a Holley 4150 series, 750cfm four barrel double pumper which sits atop a 454 in my ‘72 c10.

The truck is running rich, fouling plugs, so the first thing I want to do is clean and rebuild the carb with fresh gaskets and whatnot.

I’ve gotten as far as taking it apart, but I for the life of me cannot get the needle and seats out of both fuel bowls. They appear to have been screwed down too tight into the bowls, with the flats on either side flush with/below the casting level of the fuel bowls (yes the nut & gasket is off).

I bought the Holley rebuild kit (37-485) so would rather put the new ones in there.

How can I get them out?

I have attached two photos: the first one shows the primary bowl from above where you can see how flush the needle & seat is with the casting.

The second photo shows inside the fuel bowl – by unscrewing the little cover over the float hinge I can get to it from the inside. Is this my best option?

Thank you in advance everyone; I appreciate the learning!

Stumble off idle

My truck, an 86 c10, has a new to me QFT 650 electric choke on top of a sbc 350, the qft runs great other than coming off idle (like leaving a stop sign) it stubles and kinda dies, it does even out and continues running like it should, any idea what could be the issue. Sorry I dont have a pic of the carburetor

Demon 650?

I cannot for the life of

Me find this manual for this carb anywhere. I can’t even seem to find another similiar. I seem to remember them being 650’s.

They are vacuum secondaries, single fuel inlet and from what I understand this port is for a boost reference.

The carbs work great and this thing is a handful but I would really like to find a manual for these…..

Thanks

AVS2

I for some god awful reason chose a AVS2 over a 1401 or a holley and I dont know if my secondary’s are even opening because when I go WOT it bogs down horribly it makes a deep grumble sound like the throttle plates open and are letting some air and fuel in but I stay put any advice?

Hanging idle

I have a 4 stroke carbureted dirtbike. When I rev it and keep the rpms low, it is fine. When I rev it to higher rpms, it holds the rpm and does not go down until I rev it even more. No the throttle cable isn’t stuck or anything like that. No idea what could be causing this

2007 ZZR600 idles but won’t rev/ now won’t start. Carb/ fuel issue?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to track down an issue with my 2007 ZZR600 and could use some experienced eyes on this.

Background:

Bike sat for about 3 months before I got it

Previous owner said carbs were “dialed in” and it didn’t need choke to start

On my first quick test ride it ran fine and revved normally

What happened:

I accidentally rode it briefly with the fuel petcock OFF

After that, it wouldn’t rev past ~2000 RPM

Would idle, but bog badly on throttle

What I’ve done so far:

Fuel system:

Drained old gas and replaced with fresh

Confirmed fuel flows from tank

Fuel pump ticks (sometimes loudly)

Float bowls drain with a steady stream

Carbs:

Pulled and cleaned carbs twice

Cleaned:

main jets

pilot jets (can see light through them)

emulsion tubes (confirmed flow both directions)

all visible passages

Verified:

diaphragms look good (no tears)

slides move freely

Still suspecting transition circuit but I’ve sprayed through and confirmed flow

Behavior after cleaning:

Bike would start and idle (but weak)

Spraying carb cleaner into intake makes it run noticeably better

All 4 headers get hot → all cylinders firing

Other observations:

At one point saw some smoke/puffing back up through one carb

Initially it revved ONCE after cleaning, then went back to bogging

Where I’m at now:

Planning to:

reset mixture screws to ~2–2.5 turns out

reset float height

My current theories:

Still partially clogged pilot/transition circuit

Lean condition (since it improves with carb cleaner)

Fuel delivery issue (pump not keeping up / not priming)

Something off in carb setup (floats, sync, mixture)

Questions:

Does this sound more like a carb issue or fuel delivery issue at this point?

Could a weak fuel pump cause these exact symptoms even if bowls fill?

Anything I might be missing in the carb cleaning process?

Is it worth rebuilding carbs or should I focus elsewhere first?

Appreciate any help—this one’s got me going in circles a bit.
