TBNT AA F2F

i had my f2f today and unfortunately i was a part of the group that was taken to the shuttle. it was a very chill f2f and the recruiters were very nice. i also loved talking to the other candidates. my only qualm is that i wish there was a 1:1 portion and i wish there were more recruiters present to have more opportunity to showcase your personality directly to recruiters. there was only two FA’s with us for the majority of the time. but they were so so nice and they did a great job at trying to make everyone feel comfortable. every thing happens for a reason, all of the people i met were lovely and everyone who stayed in that room 100% deserved their cjo’s. i’m very grateful for the experience!

i hate my job.

yes. i hate my job.

i am currently 4 months into flying after the completion of my training and i hate it to say the least. i dread to go for a flight everyday and i find it meaningless to explore new countries on my own.

i have came to a realisation that i would rather explore new places with my partner and people i love.

i feel like no one truly understands me? everyone is thinking about this job being a lucrative one. yes, the pay is decent. yes, i dont have to bring my work home. yes, i get rest days overseas.

but what about the passengers and crew that i have to deal with on a daily basis? i have to fake my attitude 24/7 to satisfy entitled/rude passengers.

my patience has also decreased every since i became a cabin crew. my mood swings are more frequent and i tend to get irritated easily.

i hate my life and i hate my job.

maybe because being a cabin crew was never a dream job for me & i just did it for fun. no one understands how i feel 😭 i dread it so much & i cant leave because of the bond. im this close to seeing a psychiatrist.

is there anyone out there feeling the same way as me?

It’s actually crazy how we never truly know what airlines want in a candidate

This is something I was just thinking about randomly. We know what airlines want to see in their candidates on a surface level; articulate, pristine appearances, tooth aching smiles and a customer service skill on 10 247. But it’s crazy how you could have all of that down to a T and still get rejected, even if you are the embodiment of an airlines core values and ideal candidate.

Just an example, my cousin has been an FA for i think ab 8 years now? He’s been w a regional airline and tried UA & AA only to be rejected, actually one of the recruiters told him they felt the would be doing him a disservice by hiring him-INSANE. Meanwhile I got CJO’s from UA & AA on my first try and let me say he was way more deserving of it than I was lol. I went in unprepared, kind of just winged it and did the bare minimum while still keeping up my professionalism. I don’t want to put myself down but I know exactly who I am as a person. I’m kind of a ditz, introverted and very to myself, zero experience as an FA and honestly not that much experience in customer service as a whole, a bit standoffish at times and am pretty weak at being a conversationalist. My cousin, excels in all those qualities that airlines desire in FAs.

To wrap it up, I truly believe you get your CJO based off what the recruiter is feeling that day and that’s all it’s about, you could do everything right but your interactions w the recruiters is what will make or break it. Deadass, I think a recruiter would hire you just bc you guys have the same cat breed or something.

TBNT for my AA in person today =(

I am feeling extremely sad. I will say I liked their process it was simple and short(maybe too short?) No one on one. Everyone was really nice and seemed authentic I know American has a certain " " about that. I do have another CJO from another airline but I don't financially know I will be able to take on that one. I didn't understand how the ppl from the other airline I received my CJO from felt after the in person TBNT but I feel awful and soo disappointed. I thought I did really really well so the part of not knowing where you went wrong is frustrating. I was fully ready to commit and jump into this lifestyle and the bases American have were all pretty reasonable to me. =((

Everyone had on their blazers and dark colors for the most part. Some ladies had their hair down. It was A LOT of men.

The process:

  1. The initial assignment write a few sentences after watching a powerpoint of why what you learned will make you successful in the role. You'll have just less then 8 minutes to do that activity.
  2. They split you into two groups. You'll do both activities-- > 1 activity you just read the announcement card, push and pull the beverage cart, Unlatch something in the overhead compartment and strap yourself in the jump seat.

The other activity you are split in 5 groups and in the group of 5 or 6 ppl you are given a card. You'll have to work with your team to put them in order of importance and then once thats complete you have 60 seconds in front of everyone to say how you would deal with the situatuon (I.e. A customer is upset you are cutting them off drinks) how would you handle that ...Real situations that could happen on the plane and THATS IT.

After they split you in two groups if your name is called first... Thats the end. The rest stay back to do their drug testing and background check.

Good news to those who interview next week they are looking to hire and fill for May so be ready to start immediately. I guess it just wasn't my time. =(

Hello everyone! I’m currently going through the application process and I want to know if anybody had any possible tips or thoughts about YX that you could share? How’s the reserve system? How quick would it be to get based in CMH? Is it possible to make 4k a month?

Thanks!

About Qatar airways Application

Hi , i recently applied for Qatar airways for the position of cabin crew (Tunisia) i had my assessment and passed all the required stages , i received the blue background email , submitted it , My application turned to « Assesment completed » and lately i received a « Talent pool email » and my status on the website turned to « Talent pipeline »

My question is are they considering me as a successful candidate and will hire me soon or did they reject me in soft way?

And is this related to the on going war in the middle east or it’s just it is what it is.

United F2F interview

Hi! I’m so excited I have my F2F interview with United next week and I’m excited, but nervous!??

As a 5”8 girly, should I wear heels or flats? If flats, can they be sling backs or completely covered?

For anyone who has had a F2F with United recently, how was the interview process? I’ve done my research, but some threads are a couple years old. From what I’ve gathered, it is a few group activities then 1:1.

The questions, I’ve found are the following and wanted to know if these are good questions to prep, or if I should add any other

-Example of where you did something following “ good leads the way”

-Captain telling you weather conditions, where you’re going, how the landing will be, other details to remember

-How will you handle relocation

-Why do you want to be a flight attendant

-How did your previous work experience prepare you to be a fa

-How to handle certain passengers and coworker scenarios

TIA!!!!!

American F2F

This might be a dumb question but do we think that people interviewing on the 14th will have any less of a chance at getting a CJO since they would have already been taking people and filling spots in the previous sessions? Also good luck to everyone interviewing!!!! I’m so excited :)
