Quoted $2,795 for full overhaul, is this reasonable?

Hi All, I want to get this watch restored and in good working order. As far as I can tell, it’s not especially rare or sought-after, but it was my wife’s grandfather’s watch, so it has a lot of sentimental value.

I recently shipped it to a repair center that specializes in vintage Bulova/Accutron and they quoted $2,795 to fully restore it, which is more than I can afford. Is this what I should have expected? Or are there other options in the 3-digit range that will get this watch ticking again?
