I am a barista at a small cafe in Brighton and as it’s getting busier with tourists due to the sun being out. I get the usual folks come in to use the toilet or ask for water and I base it more on wether the person asks nicely to use something as we are technically not meant to let anyone use anything unless they are a customer. I always let people that are nice to me in or that say please but whenever someone is rude or just treats me badly (usually because I am a young woman 😂) I just refuse to let them use anything. It usually forces them to buy things which is a bit like karma. Just wanted to know if this is bad or not or anyone’s opinion on this.

Has anyone else just flat out refused service to people that lack the common decency to be polite?

Very weird experience at Jubilee Library. I put my head down on the table for a minute after hours of studying, and security came straight away to say no sleeping. Meanwhile teenagers were talking and laughing loudly and that was apparently fine. Strange library culture ,loud talking seems allowed, but quietly resting for a moment is a problem.

Are there any bluebell woods in/near Brighton that are in flower at the moment?

42m overweight, not flexible and little willpower. Would love to get more flexible and generally fitter. Ultimately would love to get into something like flow or calisthenics before the inevitable slow decline towards old age.

Member of PureGym near Brighton station but finding that going alone I just get bored of give up after 10 minutes of poor form and minimal effort. Anyone else in a similar situation? Maybe join forces and hold each other accountable? Hmu

Planning on getting a shelving unit from there and I need to decide whether to pick it up with the car or get it delivered. I haven't been into the IKEA yet, so I don't know how far the shop is from the car park

I regularly go to all the charity shops but I’m trying to find stuff of a specific vibe 😅

Seen a lot of these sorts of shops in the US, and seen one down in Portsmouth and one in Manchester but yet to find anything in the Sussex area.

I've always struggled with never having enough small plastic zipper bags to organise my bits/food/collections, so I'm looking to order 5000 on Alibaba as it's the lowest quantity with the best bulk prices. I just can't stand to order a normal amount for a third of the total 5000 price, and get 10x less. The source looks pretty trustworthy and they are cheap (0.77 pennies per plastic bag before shipping, which I expect will add another 10 quid or so, pushing up the price to closer to 1 penny per bag). The bags are 10*15cm and seem decent quality. I believe alibaba sells wholesale for businesses which is why I'm fairly trusting (albeit it's no significant cost to lose).

If you are interested in a few hundred or thousand plastic bags (possibly to be further dispersed (trying not to sound like a pyramid scheme here (they are going for the same price I'm buying)) and live/can meet within 10 miles of hove, or know someone who is interested. please DM me. Looking to recieve in cash.
