Looks like they got in front of any potential managerial tricks… the pitcher must be designated by the defense before the batter is selected. Now if they could fix the showdown ball 4 rule.
Kind of sad to see blowouts in this sport. Should they bring a mercy rule if a team wins 5 innings?
The one Party Animal who showed up for all three games in Vegas. Two home runs. Keeping his team first during Thursday’s game. Tanner really does own Vegas. 🎉
Dancing With The Stars Predictions?
Jackson Olson will be on Season 35 of DWTS. Not surprised as ABC is owned by Disney. And Fans First and Disney have frequently partnered?
Who do we predict for Season 36? And which Party Animal will it be?
Thank you Party Animals and Bananas!
Today I was honored to be a part of the quartet that sang the National Anthem. We’ve done a bunch of fun things before, but today has to be the most fun I’ve had singing the National Anthem!
The day started out early with a 10:15 arrival at Truist. We got there wearing our Bananas jerseys (we got them to sing last year in Savannah, which was also a ton of fun). We got to hang out, talk to several fans, and watch a little of the pre-show before we were brought backstage to prepare for singing the Man-Nana National Anthem. We had great conversations with a ton of cast members, and got a ROUSING applause from everyone on the green when we performed. Fans came up and asked for pictures, which we happily obliged.
Finally we got into the stadium and changed into our Party Animal jerseys (and changed the bands on our hats) before going down to the dugout. As a lifelong Braves fan, sitting in the BRAVES dugout was beyond surreal. We got to chat with, dance with, and joke around with the players and other cast members before going out to sing the anthem. The response from everyone in the stadium was rabid, and we loved the energy we got from everyone. During the game so many of y’all came up and congratulated us, asked for autographs, and pictures, it was almost overwhelming (in a good way).
After the game we hit up the after party, and while we were waiting to talk to some of the new friends we made in the casts, the craziest thing happened…a line formed to get autographs and pictures with us. We must have signed 150 shirts, jerseys, balls, and other things, and we ended up being one of the last folks in the green. Y’all made us feel so special, like we were part of the cast, and it’s a day I’m never going to forget!
My quartet, Four Fellers (look us up if you’d like on the socials), is all about bringing something to the community, and both times we’ve sung for a Bananaball event (we got to sing in Savannah this past August) there has been such an outpouring of love and support from y’all, it’s been unbelievable. We hope that we get to continue our collaboration with the BBCL and bring our style of music and harmony to y’all not just because it’s fun, but because y’all have been the best audience we’ve gotten to sing for.
From the bottom of my heart, and speaking for the rest of my boys, thank you. Y’all are special, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Not a fan of the ticketing process
I know I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this but here goes.
I was in the lottery for two years before getting tickets. I’m not disabled but I have chronic health issues that make picking seats kind of a big deal for me. I don’t care about sections or how close I am to the diamond - it’s more about mobility (fewer stairs, closer to restrooms and shaded areas, that kind of thing).
I literally ended up with some of the worst seats for my needs. Furthest section from a restroom, in direct sun, and all the way at the bottom of a set of stairs. No available tickets in the marketplace that I might be able to trade with.
My health issues aside, the seats we got are $6 for a regular baseball game but $35 for banana ball. The farthest section before you get to the lawn. We’re paying the same price as folks with much better seats and that doesn’t feel right. Didn’t even have the opportunity to pick better sections - the $35 seats were all the was left when it was my turn to buy tickets.
At any rate, I’m glad they aren’t using Ticketmaster and they try to prevent scalping. Those are importnat things to do that all sports and entertainment should be doing. But I also think the process could definitely use some rethinking.
The Bananas are playing against the Firefighters in Iowa City. It is a tradition that after the first quarter of Iowa Hawkeye football games, everyone turns to the Children's Hospital and waves st the families at the hospital.
I am looking forward to see what the Bananas and Firefighters do with The Wave!
Marketplace Question
How far in advance of a game will I be able to list my tickets on Marketplabe? I have tickets to a game on 5/23 but I do not have an option to list my tickets on marketplace yet. Thanks!
Anyone know what this game in Tampa is? Is this a real game?
I’ve been checking the market place every so often for when the game I want will be available and this Tampa game popped up? But it is not on the schedule and I’m not sure it’s possible since they play at 7 in Savannah the same day?
rules question: trick pitches
Am I correct to think that trick pitches do not get added to the trick play total?
Also, staying on the issue of trick plays: I really wish that the score bug would show the trick plays total at all times.
Questions about the Banana Bowl
Today, I saw a TikTok from Jesse Cole announced that the Banana Bowl will be on Disney+. Before that, I was confused and the name of the championship game or the BBLC's "Super Bowl". In 2025, the championship was called Banana Ball World Tour Championship, which was won by the Party Animals. The loser were the Firefighters. And the was "inaugural" according to Google. Im confused if the 2025 is the first or the Banana Bowl in October is the first. They have different names. And also, will the Banana Bowl be named after the year or use numerals? Im my opinion, I think they should use roman numerals because it make the name sound more a-peeling 🍌
