Any Melbourne Zeekr meets coming up?

Hey all,

Saw that Zeekr recently put on a driver meet in Sydney — looked great. Has anyone heard if they’ve got anything similar planned for Melbourne?
Keen to hear if it’s on their radar, or if anyone has contacts at Zeekr AU who’d know. Plenty of owners down here who’d turn up.

Hey all!

I’ve just put down the deposit in my 7X long range (green with black and grey interior) and I’m now going through the fun, not so fun, exciting yet stressful sales process. I’m financing the car on a novated lease but I need to wait until my boss returns from travel before signing that paperwork so I luckily have some time before the lease company needs the final price on the vehicle (I think that’s how it works?)

The dealer’s delivery team called me today to offer all their delivery extras I can include in the vehicle but I’m not sure if it’s all sales BS or not… this is my first brand new car purchase so it’s all a little overwhelming. From what I’ve read ceramic coating and interior protection isn’t the worst idea but are the dealer’s offerings the right path to take with these or am I best to get them done post delivery. I also am not 100% sure if I can even do these protections post delivery with the car being ok a lease and all… (I feel like lease company’s make the whole ordeal unnecessarily confusing and complicated 😅)

Do y’all have any advice or opinions on what the dealership is quoting and offering? I already think I’ll pass on a dash-cam, holding out hope they update the car’s softwares to include a built in dash-cam feature. My sales BS radar is also sounding on the Schmick thing but I could be wrong.

Took the latest Zeekr X for a spin over the weekend and wanted to share some impressions, especially for anyone cross-shopping or upgrading from the 2025 model.

The interior is a serious step up from the 2025. The middle console area in particular is much better thought out — feels more premium and usable. The leather wrapping around the door sides genuinely gives it a luxury feel — that was one of the standout touches for me. That said, I really don't think the fridge is necessary. Nice gimmick, but I'd happily trade it for storage or a lower price.

The thing that genuinely surprised me was the take-off. It felt a bit sluggish off the line, which is not something I ever thought I'd say about an EV. It's not bad as such, but coming from other EVs (including our 7X), it caught me off guard. Curious if anyone else has noticed this or whether it's a drive mode setting I missed.

Rear passenger space is impressive for a car this size — felt roomier in the back than I expected.

The white interior looks absolutely stunning in person. But I've seen photos floating around of discolouration on the white seats after some use, so personally I wouldn't risk it. Would love to hear from anyone who's lived with the white interior for a while.

One small thing — the salesperson mentioned you can get a cover for the sunroof for $300, but she said her customers who've bought it don't really end up using it. So probably one to skip unless you really want it.

Coming from our Zeekr 7X, the familiar operating system was a real plus — zero learning curve, everything where I expected it to be.

Overall a solid car with a much-improved cabin. The take-off is the one thing I'd want to dig into more before pulling the trigger.

Anyone else driven the new X? Keen to hear your thoughts.

The email confirmation told me deliveries were expected in September 2027.

Yep.

2027.

1 year and 4 months away.

I wanted to offload our second (ICE) car this year and can’t wait that long unfortunately. Especially with the updated FBT cut offs.

It’s really unfortunate, but I don’t blame them. Just sucks for anyone hoping for deliveries this year.

Hey all,

Considering picking up a Zeekr X — there’s a pretty good deal running at the moment that’s pushed it onto my shortlist. I’ve watched plenty of reviews online (the usual suspects) but they’re mostly first impressions from week-long press loans, not people who’ve actually lived with the car.

If you own one, would love to hear:
• How’s real-world range holding up vs the WLTP claim? Especially in mixed driving and cooler weather
• Build quality and panel gaps after a few months of ownership
• Software / infotainment — any glitches, OTA update experience, CarPlay or Android Auto situation
• Charging — both DC fast charging in the wild and home AC. Any curve issues?
• Service / dealer experience so far if you’ve needed it
• Anything that’s annoyed you that wasn’t obvious in reviews
• Anything that’s genuinely surprised you in a good way

For context I’m in Melbourne, mostly suburban driving with the rare longer trip.

Currently in a Zeekr 7X so already familiar with the brand’s quirks — just want to know what the X is like to actually live with day-to-day.
