My Yamaha Wabash RT Commuter

I’ve been using this to commute and get around the past 2 months, usually riding between 60-100 miles a week. It is an ebike which makes things much easier but on my commute home or when I ride with my girlfriend/friends I turn it off and it still rides great!

I did a flat bar conversion, added a Topeak rear rack, some random front rack from amazon with a wald 137 basket, SKS fenders and 2 Ortlieb panniers. Just got the front basket and fenders installed today so wanted to show what the bike looks like in its “complete” form. Before this I was carrying my backpack on my back unless there was rain in the forecast then I took both panniers. Both of those methods had downsides so now the lock is in the basket like pictured and I’ll just toss my chrome citizen in the front basket to speed things up. I also previously had the SKS fenders that strapped on but had a bunch of issues with those so I switched to the hard mounted ones, hoping they work better.

Yamaha Moro 5 Seat Dropper Lever

I bought a used Moro 5 and everything is great except for one thing. The thumb lever to drop or raise the seat is very tight.

Is this an easy fix or something I should take to a bike to fix?

What Yamaha ebike would you recommend?

I currently own a Yamaha tmax motorcycle and it has honestly been one of the most enjoyable vehicles I’ve used for daily commuting. It’s smooth, comfortable in traffic, and has enough power that even longer rides don’t feel tiring. Because of that, I’ve started paying more attention to other Yamaha products and how they compare in terms of quality and ride experience. Recently I’ve been thinking about adding a Yamahaebikes model for lighter rides, fitness, and short weekend trips. I still want something reliable, but with more focus on exercise and relaxed riding rather than speed. I’ve been looking at different options and comparing specs, and also checking general availability and accessories on places like Amazon, eBay, and Alibaba just to understand pricing and what parts are commonly included or missing. Since I already enjoy the Yamaha tmax motorcycle a lot, I’m curious if anyone here has transitioned from scooters or motorcycles to Yamaha e-bikes. Which models would feel like the best balance of comfort, range, and ease of use for everyday riding? Also, do you think it makes sense to keep both, or does the e-bike end up replacing short trips completely once you get used to it?

Yamaha Civante Motor Lock-Up

Hi all, I wanted to ask if anyone has attempted to fix a motor lock-up on their Yamaha e-bikes? Specifically, the PW-SE on my Civante. It's locked up. The pedal doesn't move unless you push down hard. Has this happened to anyone? I am only around ~1.5k miles in (bought in Nov 2024, sitting in garage since Dec 2025). The dealer refuses to service my bike because it was in an accident with a car. But, the motor worked for 1000 miles after that happened, and the only thing that happened was the steering tube rotated out of alignment (everything else seemed structurally intact). With some of y'all's help I think my only recourse is to fix it up myself or replace the motor. However, I am curious to see why it locked up as it doesn't seem accident related. My only clues are the salt on the roads in winters and perhaps water getting inside it to be causing this issue. I'd be grateful for any leads/help. Thank you!

Help upgrading rear brake rotor

Has anyone upgraded their rear brake rotor from 160 mm to 180. It looks pretty straightforward just add a spacer to the caliper. Just would like to know if someone has actually done it. The brake cable looks pretty snug. Will I have enough slack to add the spacer. If someone has done this upgrade, would it be possible for you to give me the part number for the upgraded rotor and spacer so I ordered the right parts.

Crosscore in Zion National Park

My wife and I rode our CrossCore bikes up the canyon to the Narrows and back. Amazing experience since only shuttles and bikes are allowed. Peaceful and majestic. This shows the backside of Angel's Landing.
