Everyone was right, the quality is bad

I had a chrome metro mini I bought in I think 2015, still looked brand new after thousands of miles on my back or strapped to my bike on either a bicycle or motorcycle. Sadly the strap got tangled in the wheel of my dirt bike and was ripped off. Had it sewed back on but it started leaking water so I figured I’d get a new one. Just got the citizen 15L (not the XRF model) and I can immediately tell the materials are awful. The tarp material on the inside is like a cheap cooler, the outside does not feel premium, the stitching doesn’t look great and the whole buckle and strap are so cheap I almost thought it was a fake. I’ll use this one until it’s destroyed but will never buy another chrome bag unless I can find an older used model. One pro I will say is the pocket design is much better for organization and because the materials are so cheap the bag feels lighter than my old one. RIP to my old bag and what this company used to be, what a waste of $160.

My Yamaha Wabash RT Commuter

I’ve been using this to commute and get around the past 2 months, usually riding between 60-100 miles a week. It is an ebike which makes things much easier but on my commute home or when I ride with my girlfriend/friends I turn it off and it still rides great!

I did a flat bar conversion, added a Topeak rear rack, some random front rack from amazon with a wald 137 basket, SKS fenders and 2 Ortlieb panniers. Just got the front basket and fenders installed today so wanted to show what the bike looks like in its “complete” form. Before this I was carrying my backpack on my back unless there was rain in the forecast then I took both panniers. Both of those methods had downsides so now the lock is in the basket like pictured and I’ll just toss my chrome citizen in the front basket to speed things up. I also previously had the SKS fenders that strapped on but had a bunch of issues with those so I switched to the hard mounted ones, hoping they work better.
