Stereo installer said I’d need a new head unit, but I wanted to check with the real experts :) Can you add two rear speakers to supplement the 2 front ones using the original stereo unit? If so, how do you do the wiring? I could certainly get a new head but I kind of like the original look and I only listen to the radio
4.0 I6, all original with only 80k miles. Very rare car. Only wish he would let me drive it lol.
Nice seat covers are expensive! If your seats are worn out, why not buy new seats for not that much more money? I’ve heard some complaints about new seats sitting a bit higher than stock; is that a big deal? Is there anything else special about the stock seats that I should know? I thought about reupholstering, but again, that’s as expensive if not more than new seats
The yj is still broken. Replaced tps, iacv, and fuel pressure regulator. I replaced a vac line that was fucked up and cant find any more vac leaks. THIS THING IS STILL TRYING TO BLOW ITSELF UP. IDK what's wrong with it.
I've spent 3 days elbow deep in the electrics in the engine bay and still no spark, getting crazy ground drop offs, traced every wire, did continuity test on the ECU plug. It had spark yesterday briefly, it ran for a few minutes, I shut it off and it never got spark again. checked all body and engine grounds, filed them all so they were shiny, nothing. Next step is run new ground wires from the ecu to all the way to every sensor and injector. I hate electrics, give me oil and nuts and bolts any day.
1976 1/2 ton Ford Dana 44.
Took it from 3.50 gears with an open differential to 5.38 gear ratio, 1350 yoke, and an Ox locker that will be pneumatically operated. Now to order a big brake kit for it, RCV’s, put on some rust converter and then paint it.
Completely my fault. It’s really wet and slick out there and I just took the wrong line with too much throttle.
What do you think is causing this leak? How important is it to get it fixed soon? Thanks
I’ve done quite a bit to this and I’m just wondering how much this might be worth. I unfortunately have to sell it because I’m heading to college.

Hey all, just bought a 1985 Jeep YJ. Guy said there were no oil leaks in his time owning it. I drove it on the interstate home going around 70 the whole way. Parked it in my driveway and the next morning a small puddle of oil was under it. Doing a bit of research, and talking to previous owner he said it might be the oil pan gasket? Any help or advice would be appreciated as I am not mechanically savvy. Also, for not being mechanically savvy, could this be something I could fix on my own with a little bit of help from YouTube? Thanks in advance everyone
New wheels with a different offset. Need bigger rubber baby buggy bumpers. Thanks in advance.
