Dance moms: Did anyone else find Abby Lee Miller's fixation abt Kenzie ziegler in particular being a child as quite weird

In the youtube video where she talked abt the pros and cons of all of the girls, she mentioned that the disadvantage of kenzie was that she grew up. She's also mentioned that she likes when kids were younger as they were more impressionable and easy to manipulate. I found it weird how she particularly fixated on kenzie w this and not rlly w the other girls. Yet she also complained that kenzie never danced maturely whilst giving her childish choreography. This is just an observation and maybe I'm reaching but it was just weird to me.

Justin Bieber & Rebecca Black being given death threats & made fun of online despite being children

This is a screen shot from an old “death battle” video where the creators literally made Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black fight each other to the death. No wonder the video no longer exists on YouTube. Obvious why they’d delete. Grown ass men too…the internet sucks.

Both parties were basically thrusted into the spotlight as young kids and got a lot of negative attention even though they did nothing wrong. Justin Bieber was even molested and given gross comments by adults and Rebecca was bullied in real life to the point that she suffered from depression. If making fun of these kinds of kids or just kids in general makes grown men happy, then, I’m sorry but you need to go to prison.

Remember Pastor Greg Locke when he said that autism was caused by demon possession & that autistic people are demon possessed?

In advance, I’m sorry that one looks like it has been filmed in Mesopotamia and the other looks like it has been filmed in 4K. I had to merge the two clips from two different clips of the same video. I couldn’t find the full on video, so I do apologize.

Anyways, we either get treated like we’re dimwitted & incompetent, infants that have just been born last night, we’re sick & we need to be cured, or we’re demon possessed spawns of Satan that are the pure definition of absolute evil that even King Leopold the II who slaughtered 15 million Congolese people, looks like a complete saint.
————————————————————
I’ll call these things categories to separate how each group treats us.

Category I: Like a genius or a superhero that does everything perfect.

Category II: Like a science experiment or an anomaly.

Category III: Like infants that can be controlled, manipulated, & taken advantage of.

Category IV: Like a person who can’t do much of anything & will not amount to anything in life.

Category V: Like a deadly disease that needs to be cured or eradicated.

Category VI: Like a spawn of Satan that needs to be cleansed with the purest & holiest thing of water while being tied down to a bed of some sort.
————————————————————
But like I & many others say:

“You can’t fix stupid, & you can’t repair dumb.”

He’s the absolute poster child of that quote though.

The teenager in “my best friend’s wedding” marrying a grown man https://youtu.be/XmY6K9MqDu4

https://youtu.be/XmY6K9MqDu4

Kimmie was 19 and giving up college to marry a 28 year-old man after just a few months of knowing him.

Team Jules people thought Kimmie was silly and vapid and Michael deserved someone with substance who wasn’t a pick-me. They were neglecting that at 19 this is how a lot of girls act.

Team Kimmie people only liked Kimmie because Jules was awful. She was barely an adult, had never worked or lived on her own. What was Michael even DOING?

Oprah asking the Olsen Twins their dress size

In a very real way, we shouldn't have been OK with a LOT of what happened to Ashley and Mary-Kate but this was horrible. Also abhorrent:

Barbara Walters asking Dolly Parton if her breasts are real.

The NYT asking Jennifer Lawrence about her mental health history.

Anyone who thought it was OK to ask a popstar about her virginity. Ever.

The body-shaming of Jessica Simpson when she was dating Tony Romo.

American talk show hosts who mocked Amy Winehouse's alcohol struggles.

Michael Parkinson asking Billie Piper if she had an eating disorder.

Journalists trying to coax female celebrities into sharing SA stories post Me Too (you get to decide if and when you share your experience, even when you're famous)

The media exploitation of Britney and K-Fed’s children (faces originally uncensored)

As said in the title, the boys’ faces were always photographed and printed without consent or censoring, completely ignoring their right to privacy as children. I’ve censored their faces for this post as I just feel it would be really hypocritical to complain about this practice while spreading these images further. The headlines in these covers are despicable and so exploitative of their sons and Britney, it’s horrific that they would share (and MAKE UP!) such intimate things about their family, especially children!

It’s just so sad that the kids had to experience media harassment during their formative years. I’m sure many of us saw those heartbreaking pictures of Britney crying in the diner with her baby son on her lap because the paparazzi were incessantly harassing them.

There’s now a bill in California to prevent the paparazzi and tabloid harassment of the children of famous figures, to stop them being photographed and printed/posted about just for who their parents are. This did not exist at the time of these examples. There was a bit of a boycott for a couple years leading up to the bill regarding children’s faces being photographed and printed without parental consent, lobbied largely by Kristen Bell and Dex Shephard.

Temporary Pause on Michael Jackson Content

Hi everyone,

We will be placing a pause on content about Michael Jackson until further notice due to an excessive amount of posts about him lately.

While we welcome discussions of the likes of Michael Jackson and the WWWOWT culture that surrounded him, we aren’t a Michael Jackson themed sub, so we must ensure that we aren’t overran by this content. This isn’t to diminish the severity or credibility of the extensive accusations towards him. We just need a pause to keep our sub theme on track.

We politely encourage people to read through our sub rules which have recently had some updates, to hopefully make them clearer to understand. We also consider the highlighted sub intro post and sub refresher to be key information for participating in the sub. It’ll give folks a solid idea of what’s out there to discuss.

Thank you for understanding and we hope you have a great week ahead.
