Krethusa the Croneseer I did for Commission
Used a lot of heavy body acrylics on this one which I think contributed a lot to the saturation. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this bird lady!

Finally had enough energy to finish and complete my Kroxigors. They were an absolute pig to build and I did curse throughout building them, nearly sending one into the stratosphere 😅
Despite this...they were an absolute pleasant to paint 😊 I think I could have done a better job with the gold but I can always get back to it.
Anyway, your C&C's are always welcome and appreciated. Espcecially when it helps with my craft 😊

Been continuing to work on this over the past couple of weeks. Had some great feedback from people already, so wanted to share an update of where it’s at.
The idea is simple... Build an army list, and see the real-world cost of buying it.
For example, a 1000pt T’au list comes out at around $500+ depending on build.
I’ve been posting this in the main 40k subreddit more consistently, but thought it would be good to share an update here too.
Recent updates:
• Astra Militarum now added
• Lots of UI + bug fixes
• Massive improvements to pricing + unit data
Still working through getting every faction in (nearly there now). Space Marines are the last and final faction to integrate (along with some smart ‘chapter’ UX).
Huge thanks as always to the two devs helping me through this, Mike and Mike, u/stormthulu & u/nuclearwoofer - (If you wanna help out too! Just reach out!)
After that I’m planning to add bundle logic to help find cheaper ways to build an army.
And after that, we can really have some fun with UI/UX improvements (There is so much planned!)... But for now it’s about making the data as solid as possible. And the app as useful as possible.
Would genuinely love any feedback — especially if anything feels off with pricing or unit data, or from people newer to the hobby trying to plan/buy their first army.
(I’ll drop the link in the comments if anyone wants to check it out)

I can see why people end up getting big cabinets to display everything they have painted now. I haven't painted many minis but it is really great to see them out on display in the house.

I have a bunch more I’m working on but I’m loving My Grimnar so far. Still need to do more work on the wolves and the base of course but I’m enjoying it so far. Any tips or advice?

my local shop is a happy place for me. Outside, the world moves with its usual push but inside i flick my little brush and there is a quiet, contained ecosystem of nerds, we laugh together. i like it.
I play Slaanesh the staff, they are kind, they offer me seats, they are all under about 17, with a few flickers of guys in their 30s and older men. They ask about my blending techniques. They are respectful. We commiserate about the rising cost the hobby paint. Of course, there is the occasional awkwardness, staring, comments on my body. But it is no more frequent or worse than what i might get on the bus or anywhere else in public. It is part of the ambient noise of being a woman. Two of my friends have even invited me to private tournaments at their home, i trust them.
few days ago i joined an online server. It leaned into the grimdark, which i love, ive been writing fanfic about the weird place Navigators hold as acceptable psykers, kind of hated and needed, im writing about one who is both captive and beloved by her ship master. I shared photos of my models. Then, I shared a photo of myself pointing at them
man A: "Are you a woman?"
man B: "Prove that this is you"
I sent another photo, of me holding a copy of TTRPG apocolypse world.
man C sends an anime gif of a girl doing something innapropriate
man D: sends a hentai image of slaanesh
man A: kick her (@'s the admin)
And i was kicked from the server!
I wonder about the mechanics of it.
I thought that with age comes a kind of shaking off of caring about these things, but perhaps it brings a desperate need to guard the hobby. Or perhaps it is just anonymity and the internet than i flew into like a bug on a windshield.
I feel sad.
Hi everyone,
I was wondering has anyone ever seen data on how popular each faction is in terms of ownership? Not tournament representation (very meta dependent) but how many people actually own each or play the faction overall?
I would love to do a comparison on overall popularity vs how much GW supports the faction (# of refreshes, models, rules, army competitive strength, etc.)
Can’t seem to find any data online aside from competitive data which is likely heavily skewed (correct if I am wrong of course).
If anyone has any links or info it will be much appreciated! Thanks all

Hey all. So, im working on magnatizing the main gun for my Invictor Tactical Warsuit. Im putting two magnets inside of each weapon options, and magnets inside the single joint the kit gives you (Dont worry, all my polarities are correct).
The issue is that, for each weapon, it would seems I did not drill out enough material for one of the two magnets. These magnets stick out a bit, with prevent the joint from sliding in and out clealny. Ive already applied glue to these magnets (well, except for the first one I did a dry fit on. It fit ao snuggly in the weapon that I couldn't get it out).
So, is there any remedy, or am I just kinda screwed at this point? Id hate to have to run the weapons partially split open since they cant close fully around the elbow joint.
Anyone have any good rat themed songs?
I am already running out 😅

My colour scheme for my Stormcast is Astral Templars, so after reading Yndrasta’s lore it really made sense to me that she belonged in the Astral Templars.
Her typical base was uninspiring for me and definitely looks like Yndrasta is in a swampy environment (obviously the model was released with Dominion with the Kruelboyz) My army did fit that environment so I changed it up, hopefully you like it 🤟

Just did my 1st ever wh 40k mini for a friend. It was a nice break from sometimes overly detailed models in AoS. Will probably need to dabble in the grim dark future myself!

Yeah i know i white washed Drikki Flynt, thats by bad, but i am really happy with the color scheme and bases.
I am unsure if i should use the small, thin, pathetic plastic thingi or something else? Anyways time to go monster hunting! ;)
