My take on Angels of Death.

I have a bunch more I’m working on but I’m loving My Grimnar so far. Still need to do more work on the wolves and the base of course but I’m enjoying it so far. Any tips or advice?

Generally, where do they shine being led by the most? I think they all have pros and cons, but would love to hear what people have found effective. I mostly use Beastslayer and SoTGW for reference. I know it’s probably best to run them in 10 mans, but I just can’t help having the horde😎 thank you in advance!

went with a darker color

So this might sound a little silly, but I’m nervous to put paint to my models. I don’t know why, I guess a fear of messing up and it being ugly. It’s been years since I last painted.

I’m hoping my plan will not be complicated but if I can get any tips or advice to get back into the hobby side, I would appreciate that.

I plan on going over the model in Russ Grey and detailing in the Abaddon Black. Metallics for bolter, chainsword, and details. The white I will use to paint over the pouches and space wolves bits so that way the contrast Cygor Brown and Skeleton Horde will show up better. The Red and Averland for the Bloodclaw markings and Red for the Deathwolves base. Then my shades and Astrogranite for easy basing.

I just and definitely nervous about making an ugly paint job and having to try to remove paint and start over.

Does my paint plan sound good? I know I left out highlights, but I’m not sure if I want to put that effort in. On characters for sure, but I want to get to playing. Anything I should do or focus on? Or just tips to not overthink this lol

I’m wondering if the helmet looks too small for this model. I really like the look of these old wolf heads and wanted to use them on my newest combat patrol. Helmet was painted by my son lol. Popped in on using some sticky tack for now.

Went through some trials with NMM and OSL. Have dabbled but never really attempted before and im fairly happy with how it came out.

Body and arms are a standard reiver body which i got from the phobos strike team, head is from headtakers, standard is from blood claws and then some bits from here and there
