Competition is through the roofs.
I can understand why no one could come up with a right approximation for prelims cutoff last year.
The competition in prelims is serious.
What could be mindset of this IAS? Why ?
our generation will not do these things.. ;)

How did you feel the paper guys ??
Mentally exhausted. I'm crying inside, I'm anxious and restless. I'm scared. I'm getting weak. What has this prep done to me ? Anyone here to talk ?
Mods, please don't delete this. I've isolated myself and this is my 3rd attempt. Even when the exam is knocking at the door there are days when I can't study. I mean how pathetic can I be. I can't focus, I'm getting distracted. Living alone in ORN, comes with its own experiences. There is nobody to talk to as well. Anyone can feel what I'm saying ? Is anyone else going thru the same or is it just me wasting time ?
Try out this current affairs web app!
Hey folks,
I’ve built a free to use small side project for UPSC prep (beta version), so sharing it here for your use.
Instead of dumping 20+ scattered articles, it consolidates everything into a few deep topics and builds structured content around them.
What it does (roughly):
• Pulls data from multiple sources (The hindu, economic times, Vision IAS, Drishti, Insights, Vajiram, etc.) everyday 5PM.
• Merges overlapping news into ~8-10 solid topics passes them into deepseek to filter noise.
• Expands each topic and generates insights.
It's still in beta content quality can vary, some topics may feel over/under-expanded, still tuning the model + data merging
if you feel this might help let me know the features you'd like, would be happy to build them!
abaahyaas was tough
I have two questions :
A) What % of people write abaahyaas among serious aspirants?
B) How come people saying it was an easy paper, I struggled to mark even 70, ( easy/tough has to be wrt real prelims not wrt to questions paper set by other mocks.
UPSC at 27 possible?
Hello, I thinking about pursuing UPSC. A brief information on me:
- I'm 27 years old.
- I graduated late at 26 due to family problem.
- Currently pursuing final papers of a professional accounting qualification, ACCA.
- Have no work experience.
- Can commit required hours and effort for preparation if passing at this age is realistically possible**.**
Questions:
- Given the information, would it be wise to pursue USPC?
- Have there been other candidates with similar background who cracked the exam?
- Should I pursue BPSC instead of UPSC if passing at this age is highly unlikely?
Required:
Please keep your answers objective and brutally honest.
Thanks in advance for your answers and opinions.

Doubt in an economy concept
- Depreciation of domestic currency causes demand pull inflation or cost push inflation
- Rupee depreciation increases exports, hence causes demand-pull inflation or cost push inflation

UPSC peeps in Varanasi?
I am visiting Varanasi for a spiritual tour from April 10th to 14th.
Would love to connect with serious UPSC aspirants in Varanasi, preferably veterans who have appeared for the interview stage. Not looking for casual prep talk, but a genuine conversation with someone who truly understands the journey.
My attempt history:
- Interview (2025) — missed the final list by 10 marks
- Mains (2020)
It's been a long road and Varanasi feels like the right place to reflect, reset and connect with like-minded people. If you're based here and open to meeting over chai, would love to talk, about the journey, the struggle, what keeps you going.
