UPSC peeps in Varanasi?

I am visiting Varanasi for a spiritual tour from April 10th to 14th.

Would love to connect with serious UPSC aspirants in Varanasi, preferably veterans who have appeared for the interview stage. Not looking for casual prep talk, but a genuine conversation with someone who truly understands the journey.

My attempt history:

- Interview (2025) — missed the final list by 10 marks

- Mains (2020)

It's been a long road and Varanasi feels like the right place to reflect, reset and connect with like-minded people. If you're based here and open to meeting over chai, would love to talk, about the journey, the struggle, what keeps you going.

What really happens when you do Hanuman Chalisa 11 times a day for 41 days?

Jai Shree Ram 🙏

Has anyone here completed a 40 or 41-day Hanuman Chalisa deeksha with 11 paaths per day?

I am currently in the middle of mine and would love to hear practical, real experiences from people who have done this — not just the spiritual benefits, but the day-to-day reality of it:

- How did you manage the discipline on tough days (illness, travel, exhaustion)?

- Did you do all 11 paaths in one sitting or spread across the day?

- Any specific time (brahma muhurta, evening, etc.) that worked best?

- What happened if you missed a day — did you restart?

- Any unexpected physical, mental or spiritual shifts you noticed?

- Tips for staying consistent till the last day?

Sharing from personal experience only please — looking for genuine insights, not general gyaan.

Jai Bajrangbali 🙏🚩

Hanuman Deeksha @ Varanasi

Jai Shree Ram 🙏

I am M30 from Hyderabad, currently in my 41-day Hanuman deeksha. I will be in Varanasi for 4 days starting today evening — my first time there.

I am looking to connect with any Hanuman deeksha swamis or sadhus in Varanasi who might allow me to stay with them or at least guide me spiritually during my time there. I want to spend these days in the right satsang and environment rather than a regular hotel, if possible.

Does anyone know of:

- Ashrams or akharas in Varanasi associated with Hanuman upasana?

- Swamis or mahants who are open to connecting with devotees on deeksha?

- Any specific ghats or mandirs where such sadhus are usually found?

Any leads, contacts, or personal experiences would be deeply appreciated. Jai Bajrangbali 🙏🚩

Satwik Ashrams near Assi Ghat?

I am seeking accommodation within a Satwik Ashram located near Assi Ghat. My visit to Varanasi, commencing on April 10th from Hyderabad, is specifically for a profound spiritual experience, as I am currently undertaking a 41-day Hanuman Deeksha. Additionally, I am engaged in preparations for the UPSC Prelims 2026 and have previously appeared for the UPSC Interview 2025.
