Some photos from my trip to italy, November 2025.
A castle complex standing on a cliff by the North Sea near the town of Wick. It includes two castles Sinclair and Girnigoe. Most of the structures date back to the 15th and 16th centuries and belonged to the powerful Sinclair clan. The buildings sit right on the edge of steep cliffs, making them difficult to access and easy to defend. The site was abandoned in the 17th century and has since become a dramatic ruin.
The former capital of the Inca Empire from the 13th century until the Spanish conquest in 1533. The city sits at about 3400 meters above sea level. The Incas built walls with stones perfectly fitted together without mortar, some blocks weigh dozens of tons and can withstand earthquakes. In the center stood Coricancha, a temple dedicated to the sun god Inti, later a monastery was built on its foundations.
Nearby is Sacsayhuamán, a fortress known for its massive stone walls. Cusco became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
Btw, that’s the best pork I’ve eaten in my whole life 🤤
The temple was built around 449 BC and is one of the best preserved ancient Greek temples. It stands in the Agora at the foot of the Acropolis and is dedicated to Hephaestus, the god of fire and metalworking. The structure is made of marble and still retains most of its columns and even the roof, which is rare for buildings of this age. In the 7th century AD it was converted into a Christian church, which helped preserve it.
