Sinclair Girnigoe Castle, Scotland. OP.

A castle complex standing on a cliff by the North Sea near the town of Wick. It includes two castles Sinclair and Girnigoe. Most of the structures date back to the 15th and 16th centuries and belonged to the powerful Sinclair clan. The buildings sit right on the edge of steep cliffs, making them difficult to access and easy to defend. The site was abandoned in the 17th century and has since become a dramatic ruin.

Temple of Hephaestus, Athens, Greece. OP.

The temple was built around 449 BC and is one of the best preserved ancient Greek temples. It stands in the Agora at the foot of the Acropolis and is dedicated to Hephaestus, the god of fire and metalworking. The structure is made of marble and still retains most of its columns and even the roof, which is rare for buildings of this age. In the 7th century AD it was converted into a Christian church, which helped preserve it.

Cusco, Peru. OS.

The former capital of the Inca Empire from the 13th century until the Spanish conquest in 1533. The city sits at about 3400 meters above sea level. The Incas built walls with stones perfectly fitted together without mortar, some blocks weigh dozens of tons and can withstand earthquakes. In the center stood Coricancha, a temple dedicated to the sun god Inti, later a monastery was built on its foundations.
Nearby is Sacsayhuamán, a fortress known for its massive stone walls. Cusco became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.

Kampung Pelangi, Semarang, Indonesia. OP.

A colorful village transformed in 2016 by local residents and students. More than 200 houses were painted in bright colors to attract tourists and improve living conditions. The project quickly became popular. After the renovation, tourist numbers increased and residents began earning money from food and souvenirs.
The area used to be considered poor, but now it is one of the most famous attractions in Semarang.

The Adiyogi Shiva statue was inaugurated in
2017. It stands 34 meters tall, symbolizing
112 paths to spiritual liberation in yoga. It is one of the largest bust sculptures in the world, weighing around 500 tons. The monument is located at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains in Tamil Nadu and represents Shiva as the first yogi. The project was developed by the Isha Foundation and opened with the participation of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The statue is listed in the Guinness World Records as the largest bust sculoture.

The largest wooden structure in the world, opened in 2011. It is about 150 meters long, 70 meters wide, and 26 meters high. It is built from engineered wood with a protective polyurethane coating to withstand heat and moisture. Locals call it Las Setas de Sevilla, meaning the mushrooms of Seville, because of its shape.
The top level features walkways and viewing platforms with city views. Below the structure there is an archaeological museum with Roman and Moorish remains.

Fly Geyser was accidentally created in 1964 during geothermal drilling. Hot water burst to the surface and began forming mineral deposits. It is about 1.5 meters tall and constantly releases streams of hot water and steam. Its bright colors come from thermophilic algae that live in hot water, with shades depending on temperature.
The water can reach around 90 degrees
Celsius, and the structure continues to grow as minerals build up over time.

Built in 139 AD as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian and his family. In the Middle Ages it was turned into a fortress and a refuge for the popes. A secret passage about 800 meters long connects it to the Vatican. The castle was later used as a prison, holding famous prisoners including Giordano Bruno in the 16th century. It got its name in 590 AD after a legend about Archangel Michael appearing during a plague.
