What would be the easiest and cheapest way to get to the park from Scotland in a day
reddit.comZodiac testing
Unfortunately just resting the tilt mechanism for now but I can imagine they're looking to have this open for the May late opening dates
if you had to come up with the next concept for a ride at tp what would you choose?
Does anyone know whether the Thorpe Park Annual Pass includes 10% off Fastrack. I know the Merlin Annual Pass offers it but I’m not sure if the Thorpe Park-only Annual Pass does
reddit.comFirst Time Visit
Me and the gf are visiting London and are looking into planning a few hours at Thorpe Park. What are the overall expectations this time of year?
Crowd sizes/wait times?
Are week days better than weekends?
Does colder weather affect anything?
I know Hyperia is the main attraction, but how are the other coasters/rides when it comes to operations?
Is it better going in the morning or the afternoon?
Any tips or suggestions would help! Thank you!!
Congestion Charges?
Hi all,
We’re visiting for the first time on Monday, but have somewhere booked in the centre of Staines the night before. I already know my car is not ULEZ compliant, but I am confused about the congestion charges.
If I am driving to (and parking overnight in) Staines from the Midlands, will I need to pay a congestion charge to get to my accommodation? If so, will I then have to pay again the next morning to drive to Thorpe Park from there? From what I’ve read, it sounds as if I won’t be going into the congestion zone, but I am not sure if I have completely misunderstood.
Any help would be appreciated.
This is for a YouTube video I’m doing if you want to help!
Thorpe next week
Hi guys,
I have been on here before asking about the late closures later this month and when I went on the 26th of April and used my merlin pass for the first time. Fair to say I had a great day and got on 11 rides (1x Hyperia, 2x Swarm one was back row, 1x Saw, 2x Collosus one was front row, 2x Inferno, 1x rush, 1x samari and 1x vortex). However despite this I have been 3 times and every time Stealth has been shut and I NEED to ride it. I have been told that my dad has been planning and is willing to take me out of school for a day before the may half term as I said after that it will get busy until september and the fact I have only missed 1.5 days the whole year (the half day was a thorpe trip last september.) I got told yesterday and it shocked me as I don't got too much and going twice in just over 3 weeks is crazy to me, he also yaps on about me not being able to miss basically any days. So I believe that next Tuesday and Wednesday would be the 2 best next week (dependent on weather). Do you guys think these would be the 2 best and what the queues might be like. I am crazy excited and please let me know
Hyperia Last Train of the Day
I was at Thorpe Park yesterday and was lucky enough to ride the final train of the day. We got back into the station and there was 1 person who was due to have a train by himself so they let most of the people stay on for a re-ride. Amazing!
Has anyone else had a similar experience with multiple re-rides on Hyperia?
Live Thorpe Park Queue Times Website
ThorpeParkQueue.com is a live queue times tracker for Thorpe Park. It shows real-time wait times for all 22 rides at the park, updated every 5 minutes letting visitors check which rides are open and how long the queues are before they arrive or before they walk across the park.
Alongside the live data, the site includes a 24-hour queue history chart, a "Best Time to Visit" heatmap built from the last 28 days of real queue data, and a crowd guide explaining which days, seasons, and times of day tend to have the shortest queues. Individual ride pages cover each attraction's stats, height restrictions, and ride experience, and a visitor guide and FAQ section help people plan their day.
Wish I could have been there today - 6 minute average queue for Hyperia!!
I don't recall ever seeing the wait times this low - can't have been more than a couple hundred people in the park. Anyone know why it was so damn quiet today? Has been much busier other days/weeks.
New Bolliger & Mabillard Ride Rules
I got caught out on new B&M ride terms when trying to get on Swarm yesterday. I had a finger splint on which I had bought from the shop due to a sore finger. They said I was not able to ride it as it had plastic or metal inside. Even when I said I'd take it off they would not allow me to ride. The staff member said it was due to new B&M rules that came out a few days ago. Something to keep an eye on and bear in mind if you're riding any B&M coaster in the future.
I have pretty bad emetophobia and this was the first time I actively saw somebody throw up AFTER the ride and they got on my eye and shoe… certainly an experience.
It was funnily enough when I was going to ask to go on again for the last ride of the day.
Just to note this is the first time this has happened in ages and I would totally go on again. Plus, I sincerely hope the lady is ok.
But please aim for the bin next time I beg 😭😭
So I’ve had a rough year and put on loads of weight. I’m 5”7 and weight 18 st 10, size 18 usually- sometimes 16 sometimes 20).
I don’t have a fabric measuring thing so had to use an actual tape measure to measure myself 🤦♀️. With no bra I’m about 50 inches on the biggest part of my chest, 41 inch waist and the bottom of my belly is about 50 inches.
I wanna take my niece but I’m so worried I’ll ruin her day by being too fat 🥲
All help and advice is appreciated :)
We have an upcoming trip to thorpe park, (Friday to Saturday). We have the shark cabins booked, and fastpass for all the main rides as part of a deal when we booked.
We love Alton towers and have been many times so we're no stranger to themeparks but this is our first trip to thorpe park.
Please give us tips, advice, etc on everything to help us get the most out of our stay.
Thank you
Just got home from a great day at the park. Nice atmosphere today. Not hugely busy. Got on everything a few times.
We decided to go for pizza pasta buffet late lunch at 2 as it was cheaper at that time with our passes.
Last time I had Merlin's pizza pasta buffet was at Chessington a fair few years back and it was certainly nothing to be desired then. However I threw caution to the wind and thought why the heck not.
I will NOT be going back to Merlin's buffet restaurant again! Firstly what a depressing experience it is. The environment felt like a prison canteen. Just the odd sound of a wooden chair being dragged across tiled flooring.
They have got rid of the fizzy drink fountains and replaced the options with what only can be described as budget squash alternatives. I am not 5 years old. I don't want to drink cheap squash out of flimsy plastic cups. The blackcurrant squash tasted like mouth wash. It left this weird medicinal aftertaste in my mouth.
I felt sorry for the pizza. It had the appearance of pizza hut pizza from a distance and the taste of an Iceland frozen pizza and even that's being generous.
The pasta was void of any flavour what so ever. It had the consistency of baby food. None of it needed chewing.
Now I'm no snob. Far from it. I love cheap and cheerful. I embrace cheap and cheerful. I also don't begrudge paying for something a little steeper if you are getting the quality that you've invested. But at basically 17 quid each and not to mention the amount before the prize is reduced after 2 o'clock is insulting.
It was a sad time. It made me feel sad lmao.
