Worried you won’t fit on rides?
I posted asking if I’m likely to fit on the rides at Thorpe park at a size 18 earlier this month and just wanted to give up update for my size 16+ girls 😘
At the time of going I was 18 stone 4 pounds
My measurements were roughly-
50inch chest
40 inch waist
51 inch at the biggest part of my hips/ lower belly
Uk size 18
Colossus didn’t go over my chest- but I think if I took my bra off it would’ve gone- I didn’t do it though cos I hate colossus 😅- if you’ve got a bigger chest you might struggle on this one
Worth mentioning I was only a tiny bit off the seatbelt going in so it was very close for me
Swarm was a bit of a squeeze because of my thighs but it was all good and comfy when I took my coat off
Saw went down easy for me- I think that one depends more on your waist measurement so if your body doesn’t put on too much weight around the mid section you should be good
Walking dead was all good but I hated that it was so dark and I couldn’t see there I was going 🥲
Hyperia was less forgiving than I thought but I did get on it without issue- but I got on saw a bit easier for some reason (everyone says hyperia is very forgiving but i didn’t find that)
Rush was great!- fit easily
Quantum was honestly amazing- fit easily
I didn’t try sameri cos I hate the ride- its too long lol
Unfortunately nemesis inferno and stealth were closed a lot of the day so I didn’t end up going on those- but I hear if you go in rows 5-6 they’re better for people with more cushion to the pushing lol
There’s a test seat outside I think all major rollercoaster and sameri so I’d highly recommend trying those first especially if you think you’ll get uncomfortable with them pushing the seat down in from the everyone and maybe standing in line and not getting on the ride
The staff are extremely nice and will do their best to get you on the rides if it’s a little tricky- and I hear you get a free fast pass to nemeses inferno if you don’t fit on a ride- although I didn’t experience this personally so I’m not 100%
There’s a lot to do at Thorpe park so you can still have a great time even if you don’t fit on everything so go have fun!!
