New 26 Sky Blue

Finally joined the T7 family. The 2026 Sky Blue really is a beautiful machine in person. Can’t wait to see where it takes me!!

Farewell to my buddy of 3 years

I just bought the red and white 2026 model and today i’m gonna hand my beloved ‘23 to a new owner.
It sounds stupid but it’s actually a super sad moment, i’ve had around 10 bikes in my life and was always super excited to get a new one but not really this time.
This one was special, hope i’m gonna quickly fall in love with the new one as well. 🥲

Rear Suspension leaking

Good evening,

Today I picked up my brand new ‘26 Tenere from the dealer.
When I got home I wanted to adjust the suspension a little.
I started with the rear shock and rotated the spring preload knob two clicks in soft direction and then I noticed liquid coming out of the gap between the housing and the knob

When I rotate it back the leaking stops.
This doesn’t seem right and I think something is broken.

Are there any known issues with leaking shocks on the Tenere?

Having a blast so far!

Logged over 800 miles in the last two weekends. Was finally able to get some miles on the bike after a small knee surgery. Met up with some buddies riding an enduro event along the way. Lovin this bike the more I ride it. If you’re on the fence on getting one, just do it! You will not regret it! Y’all ride safe!

to this absolute beauty. Has been my dreambike since 6 years and l'm in love. My only complaint is the suspension, it feels way to hard and needs some tuning. Does anyone who owns a '24 Rally version feel the same? For now I'm only riding street

does anyone know if the ride by wire system on the 25+ t7s is waterproof?

just watched the fortnine video on the newer rbw africa twin. he sank it in water and it killed the two dash units which are not waterproof and it crippled the bike. does anyone know whether the dash on the t7 would do the same thing? that would be a big dealbreaker for me

looking at pre 25 models for this reason

KLE 500 Testing

We were out testing the new KLE 500 today on the North Yorkshire TET. Is there any questions we can answer for you on how it compares to the mighty 2025 T7 Rally?

Did the mechanic mess up my clutch adjustment? Looking for some expert opinions.

Hi everyone,

I recently took my Tenere extreme 24 to a reputable shop for a major service, which included replacing the clutch plates due to some noise.

Everything felt fine for the first 350-400 km, but then the clutch started slipping badly to the point where the bike was barely rideable. I towed it back to the shop, the mechanic "fixed" it in a couple of hours and sent me on my way.

A few days later, the slipping started again. I compared my bike to a friend's T7 (same year/model) and noticed that my clutch arm/actuator is at a completely different angle and feels way too tense compared to his.

I’ve attached two photos: One of my bike and one of my friend’s bike for comparison.
My questions:

1 Based on the photos, does this look like an incorrect adjustment or a bad installation?

2 Could this incorrect tension have burned through my brand new plates already?

3 Since I live far from the shop and this is the second time I'm dealing with the same issue right after a "fix," is it reasonable to demand they pick up the bike or cover the towing costs?

Would appreciate any advice or technical insight before I go back to the shop and argue my case.
Thanks!

The other day I noticed a bit of dried coolant around the weep hole on my 24 T7, it's had a clutch recall done and it's first service. Has approx 5100kms

I took it into the same shop who sold it to me and who have done it's maintenance. They later called me telling me the water pump seal and shaft need replacing. Which they told me Yamaha has said isn't under warranty as it's a wear item.

The bike has next to no kms, everything else except clutch, oils and filters are as they were changed with first maintenance and recall.

It doesn't feel right, feels scummy. I've not looked much into it as the workshop has worked around it and I am getting it under warranty now.

Has anyone else had water pump issues?

Or water pump warranty issues?

Cheers.

Pic of the Rig for attention.

As an adventure bike enthusiast and owner of a Tuareg 660, I’ve formed a strong opinion about tire choices based on riding conditions.

If your trips are mostly on roads—even rough asphalt or light gravel—90/10 tires are the best choice. They significantly improve the bike’s road performance, offering better grip, stability, and comfort compared to other options.

For more demanding off-road conditions—think mud, deep gravel, or broken terrain—50/50 tires are the way to go. They excel in these environments, providing the traction and control you need.

Now, about the popular 70/30 tires: I believe they’re more about looks than practicality. On asphalt, they perform well but still fall short of 90/10 tires in terms of handling and longevity. They wear out faster, and in mud, they behave like slicks—offering no real advantage. On gravel, their performance isn’t significantly better than 90/10 tires.

So, in my experience, 70/30 tires don’t offer a meaningful compromise. What do you think—do you agree, or do you have a different perspective?
