Anyone still struggling to find an internship in SG?

Hello all! We're a group of TP alumni who just released something we figured we'd share here. During internship season, we noticed a pretty big gap in how students find internships.

Every semester, its the same routine. Jump between Glassdoor, LinkedIn, JobStreet, MyCareersFuture, or whatever other job sites you bookmarked. Half the job listings are already expired, you spend more time searching than actually applying.

What we brainstormed is a tool that can pool all the listings from every major Singapore job portal into one single feed. Updates itself every hour in the background. Eliminate the need of jumping through 10 different websites, access to fresh out the oven job listings, all in one place.

It has been a few weeks since we've officially launched, but we've been getting some good traction. Ngee Ann Polytechnic listed us on their careers page https://oic.np.edu.sg/vacation-internship and we're looking to further our outreach to help even more students struggling to find internships. 😊

Everything's free! But if you do check it out, would love to hear what you think!

SUSS Part-Time fees - rough estimate?

Hello all. I'm a full-time worker, and currently considering taking a PT degree at SUSS and I want to know the rough estimate I need to pay for fees. I'm looking to join a couese in the school of humanities probably.

Can I know how fees are calculated? I read the tuition fees list on their website and it gauges about 15k for the whole course I guess? Or is that per year? 😂 I also saw some ppl here say its by credit. So I guess it differs month to month or semester to semester? Anyway, I'd love to know roughly an average for how much it may cost each payment as I don't wish to take loans and currently saving up before I apply.

PT Business Analytics Coding Requirement?

Hi PT BA seniors, I have a question. I was from a science diploma and 0 coding experience. To enter BA, is it a requirement to have Coding Experience?

Current status: I have passed the interview and received a "Offer of Admissions" email in mid-March. However, I have not received any "Acceptance of Offer" email. I previously submitted the Interview Questionaire and there was a statement which mentioned "If you have not learned any computer programming languages, please attend any of the following online courses and send your certificates to the Programme Admission Team as soon as possible. ".

I am currently still learning a coding course on Udemy, and I still have many chapters to clear before I can get the cert. If a coding cert is required, any other short coding courses you would recommend?

Thank you! 🙏🙏

doing PT but not working

Currently Y2 and doing a PT degree. So it’s been a year since I have started and I am still taking 4 mods a sem as opposed to finding a job.

Truth be told, I initially wanted a FT degree but i didn’t make the cut hence I took up PT instead. However I have not been finding a job due to the lack of motivation to do so, and also partially because I want to fully focus on my mods so I’m trying to max out my CUs per sem.

This has been eating at me because I do feel abit ‘useless(?)’ for lack of a better term, when I compare myself to my peers because I am sitting at home while others are earning and building something up for themselves. I’m not looking for solutions but rather just someone who has gone through something similar and feels the same way.

SUSS or NUS SW

Hello, to my surprise I actually got offered nus chs as well (preferred major SW). I'm kind of stuck in the middle between the two choices and can't decide which uni to accept. Would appreciate any advice/ insights, or if any seniors choose SUSS over NUS or vice versa could you share your thought process?

Originally I was leaning more towards suss because I like that it focuses more on practicals and offers specialisation whereas nus focus more on theory and has no specialisations. There is also an advocacy group I'm interested in suss but I haven't really researched on nus yet. I also liked that suss is closer to my house and there's no dorms so 'equal' chances of meeting new friends as compared to nus as I am not intending on staying in dorms. And I have the mindset that it's easier to reach for the top in suss compared to nus where all the high scorers go to so I'll have a better chance of standing out in suss and getting opportunities limited to the better achievers.

I know it seems obvious suss would be the choice for me and I did put in a lot of effort into the interviews to get into suss but for nus I only applied to try my luck. However I can't easily give up nus's offer because of obvious reasons and while I don't really see the need to 'waste' the first year on nus's interdisciplinary mods, I am scared that I might make the wrong choice and that nus's approach might be my saving grace in the case where I change my mind about sw. I am also afraid because nus is more rah rah compared to suss environment which I dont particularly like because I'm an introvert but I would also like my uni life to be a little exciting + while I know suss sw's employment rate is relatively high, I will have limited opportunities because suss is not one of the 'big 3'.

So I'm really in a dilemma right now, my heart is going towards suss but my brain is screaming at me about what-ifs because this is a major decision that would determine my future basically

Any news?

Anybody else on the waitlist for a while now? Any news from SUSS on the outcome? How long will this usually last?

for context, im a 19f A level graduate entering uni this year. i have confirmed offers from an overseas uni & suss (for the exact same programme, starting 2026). im really split minded on which uni to pick…im very hesitant to go abroad because im worried about expenses, living alone, new country etc but i know the uni there is more reputable than suss. im really unsure of what to do, anyone in the same/similar position who can help me out here? what are your suggestions/thoughts on how i can go about choosing the right path for myself 🥲🥲

also wld appreciate if any suss students cld tell me more abt ur uni life, or if any overseas uni students (from sg) can tell me more abt ur transition into university coming from sg!

any input is much appreciated :) thank u guys!

hi! i’m a jc graduate (19f) who just did A levels last year. I didn’t score very well for a levels but psychology was always something i wanted to pursue so I decided to stick to the route and applied for suss psychology. I went for interview in early April but it’s almost May now and there are still no updates…

I’m starting to get worried. May I know if anyone who went for interview in early april have already receive offers? I’m also really scared that the long wait will just end up being a waitlist email.. so i’m convincing myself that they are taking so long so that the email they can send me is an offer instead of waitlist :(

Question about interviews for those who were accepted for the ccpsw

Hi all! Just managed to get my offer email from SUSS and I assume everyone else who applied for the program probably did as well or have received it earlier this week.

I didn’t manage to get any of mine and It was the same for my friend who got the email about Monday this week but was also not offered interview by any of her picked SSAs.

Just wanted to check did anyone managed to get contacted by the SSAs or organizations that you put as your 3 choices for interviews? Thanks all for the help and for those who are ongoing interviews good luck!
