Posts from Outside Our Demographic

Hey y’all

Assistant mod here. Just wanted to get an idea of how you all feel about posts from people who are not studs, mascs, or otherwise gender non conforming black lesbians.

I’ve seen a few posts from femmes and most recently, there was a very unfortunate post made by a straight white man??? I’m so sorry if you had to see that btw, the entitlement and audacity was really really crazy. Please report BS like that to mods immediately

I don’t want to overly police this space. I want y’all to feel free to express yourselves. But, I also acknowledge that we have precious little just for us, and we deserve space!

What do y’all think? should posts strictly be for studs? would you prefer maybe one day of the week for non studs to post? Do you have any other ideas? what would make you feel most comfortable and safe?

thanks! xx

mind you I hate the way men interpret manhood and I would never wanna be their idea of a man. but sometimes I wish I looked like one. not enough to truly pursue it but enough that I get gender envy from pretty boys lmao

like why are they so pretty? wtf???

i’m not a trans man (at least, I don’t think so. I don’t want to identify strictly with binary genders) so most of the time I ignore it. I’m pretty comfortable in my body for the most part. But every now and then I see a pretty boy with a snatched waist and think “damn… could’ve been me”

I’m on T to hopefully look/sound more androgynous but I can’t help but wonder sometimes ngl!

There are somethings I feel like I need a buddy for. For example, I hate reality t.v in the way that I love to hate to watch it and talk shit about it with someone else. I won't watch it any other way, but most people don't want to sit there and shit talk with you while they're watching their show (understandably so). - There are certain things like that that I just need a buddy for but there's literally nowhere I could look for that lmao.

edit to add : that's not all I also mean like a buddy to watch films and video essays with so we can analyze the films and converse about the essays. (I am realizing now how nerdy this sounds) there are so many things I think would be so much more fun with a buddy.

Having had my fair share of SHIT work experiences as a Black masc presenting Lesbian, I wanted to know what your experiences have been like at jobs as a Stud or Masc presenting person. Have you had open and accepting colleagues/work environments?

I’ve been subtly othered, unconsciously stereotyped, experienced both micro AND micro aggressions, discriminated against and made to feel alienated at work. Especially from white people/white managers/white HR teams and even some people of colour too, which made things more painful at times…

I saw a post on Substack recently about Fela Kuti's multiple wives who were all unique in their own ways. The photographs of them are so beautiful. I love how cameras can capture moments of people's beauty in time and freeze them.

I started thinking and... Fela Kuti in a stud way sounds even more intriguing. Imagine a stud having multiple wives who shine individually and as a collective, with their talents being acknowledged as well.

I'm a writer so I thought it would be a real interesting story to write. Let me know what ya'll think.
