How do Slime Mold react around meat?

How do Slime Mold react around meat?

If anyone saw my last post, y'all know I'm raising a slime mold of my own, the classic yellow one, Physarum polycephalum. It's growing quite nicely, and I got its terrarium done, so transport will occur soon. Anyway, I'm asking all the internet nerds cause no matter where I look, I can't seem to find a straight answer.

How do Slime Molds react around meat? I think I've seen a vid where they completely devoured some pork, but that was a one-time thing. Do they like it as an easy high-protein source, or do they tend to avoid it, preferring other types of food?

What happens if a slime engulfs a different species of slime?

Would the dominant species absorb the other species diet tendencies / memories?

slime moulds arent supposed to grow in 3d right? is this learned behavior?

first some photos of his beautiful phaneroplasmodium (i just think its neat, and to sort of get a reference for what im on about)

but i was taking a close look at his culture in the mulberry leaves and I believe its growing in 3D? its got small almost centimeter bridges that are THICK and calcified (Didymium Aquatile, forgot to mention that!) im assuming its growing throwing biofilm and bridging that way and not crossing the gap and then "pulling the line taught" but im gonna have to sit and watch what it does more often now!!!!!!

I'm growing this lil' guy, but I'm a bit concerned on how I can transport him...

I grew him in a little empty Olly container (it's not airtight, but I also drilled a hole in the lid just in case), and it's growing pretty quickly, but I plan on having him in a more proper terrarium. How should I transport him? He seems to be spreading from the food rather than onto it, is that gonna be an issue if most of him is still him the container?

Is this slime mold? Southern Ohio

Found in my garden bed. Mulch is from last year, we haven’t laid any new down yet.

Behold! I have slime mold!

Google image says it's a wolf's milk slime mold. Is that right? If so that's a heck of a misnomer. It does not come from wolves, it's not milk, it's not a mold and it's not even slimy. Lol

Are these bug eggs?

There is a heaping pile on a wooded slope alongside our driveway. We thought it was slime mold initially, but under a kid's microscope (last image) it has a glossy sheen. We're hoping it's not tick eggs, though the amount is mind-bogglingly large for bug eggs.

Update: This is indeed resin from our replaced water softener tank - not the arsenic remediation tank. Overall we're relieved, but disappointed it's not something more interesting like slime mold. Needless to say, our water guy will be returning to clean it up. Thanks to everyone for pointing us in this direction!

(Not a plant) but is this a fungi?

Maybe one of these slime molds I’ve heard of? It’s dry (my dog accidentally hit it just after I took the pic) and seems to be spore-full.

Thanks ✌️🩶
