I watched every movie on Shudder this week whose title starts with "Black" or a variant of "Blood." AMA?
And, yes, also "I'm the Mayor of Bimmi Gardens"

I will admit I don't go on shudder consistently, but in obsessive waves over the year. I recently tried watching Exhuma, and an ad played before the movie. That was normal to me, other services do that, and I could skip immediately. What I didn't expect was for ads to pop up throughout the viewing even though I had a premium plan. I went to the help services and after a short chat with an AI agent, I got a real one and this was the conclusion. I got into scary movies later in life and really enjoy the app, but it's a bummer when the movie I'm watching is broken up, even though I'm paying for that to not happen. Hopefully it's fixed eventually, but until then I'm out.
I didn't realise how stunningly beautiful she is in season 2 episode 6. I've always seen her in that superman series when growing up but seeing her in this wow!
If you’ve been watching TFtC you’ve probably noticed significant issues with the audio across all episodes. Dialogue is generally fine, but all sound effects and music seems to be double tracked with a half second offset so everything echos, with percussive sounds like strikes, drums, gun shots etc being the most obvious.
It’s annoyed me enough that i’ve emailed support to see if they can fix it, and i encourage everyone else to do the same, if enough people complain hopefully they’ll do something about it.
They’ll ask you what device and app version you’re experiencing it on (it seems to be everything, firefox, my android cable box, the ios app), what region you’re in and specific examples (episode, timestamp/description of the sound) so having that info available from the start should speed things up. support@shudder.com
Decided to do a “Soundtrack and Film” spin and watch with the Gates of Hell Trilogy for today and the next couple of days! Nothing better than spinning the soundtracks while diving back into these absolute classics.
It looks like they've abandoned Amazon Fire devices.
From BFI:
“We're delighted to be partnering with Warner Bros. Clockwork on the release of a 4K restoration of Ken Russell’s The Devils in the UK.
Premiering in the 2026 Cannes Classics' programme, this new 4K restoration assembled from the original camera negative presents Ken Russell’s definitive vision of The Devils by referencing the edit he privately constructed in 2004.
Ken Russell’s The Devils is the uncut and unfiltered theatrical experience that Russell always envisioned - and the first time the film will be presented restored and in 4K. Further details to be announced in the next few months.”
Anyone else streaming season two tonight?!
With the return of big anthology shows and movies and with the modern horror renaissance going on. I would think a revival of this show would be an easy win I doubt the budget would come close to all the big shows HBO does now. Anyways a long winded way to say this show is awesome and am looking forward to watching the rest of the seasons once they are released.
I don't know if anyone else has felt something similar to what I'm about to describe. I basically feel like the issues with the Shudder player make the movie-watching experience scarier. There is something about the player feeling broken, inconsistent, off, old, and outdated that feels a little scary or uncanny. If you're watching some batshit crazy old movie on a broken, shoddy, and strangely dysfunctional player (and seemingly for no good reason), it just makes whatever movie you're watching feel scarier. It's like walking into an old hotel room, house, motel room, etc., and something just isn't right. I don't know if anyone is going to agree with me at all, but I felt like saying something. It doesn't mean the player not working well is a good thing.
Fond memories of watching this as a kid—still crazy to think a lot of it was shot right in my neck of the woods in Brooklyn.
Hi everyone! My dad asked me to make a list of horror movies for him to watch. Here is my long list of favourites and thought you all would enjoy! What are your favourite horror movies? Which ones am I missing?

I started watching tales from the crypt. I pay for the ad free tier but for some reason there are like 6 ads per episode.
AMC+ for $30 for one year was too good for me to pass up.
Cant wait to dive into the shudder selection. I am a big horror fan.
I submitted two posts to the Shudder page earlier with photos from the Abbadon Event today. Some things I did want to point out!
- The clown was there. He was mainly in the basement for the tours and was a large part of the escape Abbadon feature. He was truly menacing, never broke character and was solid.
- The Abbadon inside is so amazing. I truly hope everyone can get a chance to go there at least once. Most is still the same as it was for the movies, some changes because they also host haunted house events during Halloween at the estate itself.
- The Actors. Alex, Mac and Tony were there. Very nice people. Very engaging and didn’t rush a single person getting an autograph or picture. They took their time with everyone and were very welcoming. I was able to get a photo op and autograph from all of them. The dead girl was there, got an autograph from her too!
- Merch. So much merch was available! I walked away with 2 hoodies, 2 shirts, a 2C key, stickers, A BRICK yes a brick from the inside of the Abbadon, autographs and the company who made the clown mask was selling them, I made sure to get myself one.
It was suchhhhh an amazing time and I will attend it every time it’s available. Hoping others were there in this sub so they can also add in to their experience.
