Sharing this exceptional piece from my collection: Phra Siam Devadhiraj, the Guardian Spirit of Thailand. This particular edition was commissioned in 1982 (B.E. 2525) to celebrate the Rattanakosin Bicentennial (200th Anniversary of Bangkok).

Artistic Highlights:

• Royal Court Craftsmanship: The sculpting reflects the "Chang Luang" (Royal Artisan) standard, characterized by lifelike proportions and incredibly sharp, fluid details.
• Intricate Regalia: Every element of the Royal attire, from the crown to the traditional Thai motifs, is rendered with meticulous precision.
• The Detachable Sword: A testament to the casting's engineering, the "Phra Khan" (Royal Sword) is fully detachable and fits perfectly, showcasing the mastery of form and metalwork.

A beautifully crafted brass sculpture of Phra Nak Prok. This 1982 edition captures the serene expression of the Buddha, protected by the intricate seven-headed Naga. The golden hue of the brass adds a timeless dignity to the piece.
