Just bought this 2020 WBSP 2 months ago. I live in Southern Cali and paid $49k out the door w/ 43k miles on it. I am the second owner and it has 1 minor damage report on it from the previous owner. Did I get a bad deal?

Build or Buy

Yo. Im just doing some general research. I have never worked on cars before outside of oil and tires changes but i want to learn how to work on and modify cars. I am very interested in a Trackhawk build as a project car. Meaning, buy jeep cherokee shell and hellcat engine and do a swap and other mods.

My question is what is a decent starting budget for this build to at least get the shell and hellcat engine + transmission? What are good websites to price out parts?

Or should I just buy the Trackhawk and mod from there?

Any help is appreciated.

One year of daily driving this 2022

I’ve had many cars but it’s the most fun to drive. It just puts a smile on my face every day! Better daily than a hellcat. Fuel consumption is decent for a big V8 - mds really helps on long drives, but useless in city driving, so just switch to sport mode.

I recommend getting this one with widebody or dynamics package, because the adaptive suspension makes it noticeably more comfortable. Had no issues so far!

Ramps for Widebody Charger

I’ve recently wanted to start doing my own oil changes, looks incredibly easy on YouTube and at least I would trust the guy that did it. That being said I see alot of people highly recommend rhino ramps or “race ramps” to just pull the front tires onto and you have easy access underneath. Reason I’m here is to share the photos inserted. Will these cause a problem getting up onto the ramp? The car is stock wheel height and everything but I worry these lips under the car could hinder me depending what ramps I get, also have the front mudguards from factory in there too. Anyone that uses ramps for their widebody chargers or challengers is there a specific one needed? Or will I be fine and not scrape. Let me know fellow Mopars👍

I paid 49500 for this widebody last call. Brand new no miles.

So no your 2018 scat with 50,000 miles you are looking to buy for 40,000 isn’t a good deal. Not even close.

You should be looking for around 30-35k buying one used.

Oil Drips discovery

I own a 2023 Charger scatpack. I went to move my car out of the garage this morning and noticed a few oil spots on the ground. This is new and I’m almost positive this hasn’t happened before with this car. Might be silly to act worried but is this something I should be concerned about? Let me know your thoughts👍

P.S- not sure this matters but the car has 16,000 and some change miles on it. I bought the car new for their last call year. I’m the only one that’s ever owned it.

2023 WB Shaking At 80MPH

Hello All, I have this issue when I get to approx 80mph the car has a slight shake or vibration.

A little back story, bought the car at the end of 2024 2nd owner from a dealer with 16k miles on it. The car was already lowered using Eibach spring kit. The car came with new stock tires. I ended up getting the car road balanced because we noticed the vibration after driving it daily. It seemed to go away or maybe a slight vibration. Dealt with this for about 10-12 months. Went to change the oil about 3 months ago and noticed the front tires had really bad wear on the inside. Since the car sat so low I never saw this unless you were under the car. Looks like the alignment was way out of wack. The previous owner never aligned it after the lowering kit. I wanted better tires so I bought some Michellan Pilot Sport AS tires and got the alignment. The shop said the front arms were maxed out and they couldn't do anymore to get the alignment in green. After some researching I bought new upper control arms that had more room for the alignment. Took it back to the shop and got everything in green. The back is borderline but it is in green. I plan to buy rear arms next to fully fix it.

So after the new tires, alignment, and road balance the car seemed to have a small shake/vibration. Took it to another shop to get it balanced again. The slight shake/vibration is still there.

Im not sure what it could be now. Anybody have any ideas? I dont know if the wheel balance is the problem now. It seems like it gets better after the balance but that could be just me tripping out. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Anyone have a direct link or general recommendation people have used to buy pads and rotors for a SPWB. Im looking around but not sure what brand/company is recommended apart from the OEM. Dealer quoted me almost 6k just for a brake job.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Probably a dumb question, but Is it normal for the rim to be exposed with the Michelin pilots?

For comparison, I included pictures of my rims on my Daytona (Goodyear tires), and the bead seems more flushed with the rim.

Question for you folks. Obviously the Nissan Z forum was full blown in favour of the trade.

I have been eyeing the new Nissan Nismo Z for a little while. What are your opinions on that vehicle? I understand it's slower than the Scat and more track oriented. I understand the engine bay is crammed and might be less reliable than the good old Hemi 6.4. And yes I know it only comes with an automatic transmission, which I'm fine with. My Scat is a 6MT but feel I need a break.

I'm on the fence. If you had a killer deal would you make the trade? The Z's are currently overpriced, and so were the Scats in 23.

I feel the Z might be more of a "fun" car however I wonder if I will regret not keeping the presence and simplicity of the NA V8.

What mods should I look into? 🫨

I keep reading conflicting things about the camber on these cars. Is this amount of camber normal? I recently switched from the stock 20x9 245/40/20 to 20x9.5 27/40/20. Front seems much more extreme than the rear.
