Anyone below 3.0 GPA received an email for interview?

I applied on Early March and was wondering whether those below 3.0 GPA would have received the email this month.

I haven’t gotten my email and I’m sweating out on whether it could be a possibility of rejection. Has anyone below 3.0 GPA got accepted into their respective courses?

Hi everyone, I am from NYP Infocomm & Media Engineering (Cloud Infrastructure Service Track) With a 2.5 gpa.

i hope anyone could help me in my SIT application as i am extremely afraid to face rejection for SIT and including the appeal window for this year. As until now, i still have not gotten any interviews yet. I have applied for 1st choice Computer Engineering ans 2nd choice ICT Infosec. That is relevant to my diploma

If its in appeal window, shall i change to a least competitive course like Mechanical engineering or if not slightly relevant to My diploma which is Digipen RTIS. In order to boost my chance to get interview

I appreciate if anyone of you could suggest any methods to boost up my application in the appeal window possibly. Thank you!

I recently accepted my offer from SIT in Pharm Eng and I am very excited to start my first trimester later this year. Could any future/current students share what to expect for this course. For context, I was a chemical engineering student back in poly so i know abit of whats involved study wise. I just want to know how the curriculum is like / if it is hectic or how the classroom culture is like there. Would appreciate any input even if youre not a pharm eng student.

I’m currently a Year 3 Semester 1 student in a related diploma course at poly, and I’m hoping to apply for SIT Physiotherapy. I was wondering what current SIT physio students (or honestly, students from any degree programme) did to strengthen your application?

For context, I’m trying to build my portfolio through volunteering, shadowing, and relevant experience, but I’m not sure what really stands out to admissions.

Would appreciate any advice or insights, thank you!

SIT allied health

Hello! I finished my A Levels last year and was wondering if I could have some advice.

I got 70RP, and am interested in working in the healthcare industry so I applied to SIT allied health, speech therapy first choice.

I also applied to NUS med and dent but got rejected for both.

Now, I’m stumped and am not sure if I should take up SIT offer or take a gap year and reapply for med dent.

Some considerations I have:
- Allied health is v niche and I wish I went for more shadowings to be certain I was interested in speech therapy more than physio, cause now I’m wishing I applied physio, altho I am still interested in speech nonetheless
- Are there many ppl from SIT allied health who eventually go on to Duke NUS post grad?
- Does anyone who have been in the same position as me ever regretted not reapplying for med and instead choosing to go for allied health?
- How’s the campus culture like in SIT, is it possible to make friends outside of my course without hall? And must I have experience to join Sports CCAs?

Any advice wld be greatly appreciated, thank you!

SIT HSS seniors how are you doing?

hi hss seniors, i am an incoming hss student. i applied to sit allied health as i thought that the modules were intriguing and i always wanted to work in the healthcare industry. since sit is the only uni that offers allied health, i heard that there is 100% employment and a competitive starting pay of around 3.9k. therefore i am wondering if y'all have any regrets of choosing such a niche degree/sch life/etc (anything in general), or what you hope your younger self knew! would appreciate any input regarding this, thank you!!

My GPA is 2.9X, and this is my second time applying for SIT. Till now I have not received any interviews or news regarding my application, so I am already expecting the same result.

I am currently in NS, trying to make the best out of it.. I have graduated from F&B business, though I didn’t pick the same industry when applying for SIT.
Since I would like to pursue in a different interest.

Thus I am wondering what should I do, being in this current pathway, to increase my chances of getting into SIT (perhaps the only Uni that I can go)? Working experience is one aspect but should it be F&B related or just any?

I feel like it’s all over for me at some point..

SIT Accountancy

hihi!

Got offered for SIT Accountancy with a couple of scholarship offers. I’m leaning quite heavily toward SIT, but I have a logistical concern. I live in the West, and the commute to the Punggol campus is looking like a 4-hour round trip daily.

I’m considering renting a place near Punggol to save time, but I want to make sure it’s worth the investment. To help me decide, could any current Year 1 or Year 2 Accountancy seniors share:

  1. The Schedule: What does a typical week look like? Are lectures still mostly on Zoom, or has it shifted back to fully physical?

How is does the bidding system work? are u able to choose what mods uw to study for that trimester or are the mods for that trimester fixed and can only bid for the timings/day?

  1. Frequency: Roughly how many days a week are you physically on campus (including project meetings, tutorials, CCAs, events)? (p.s heard that poly students can get some exemptions)
  2. Commute vs. Rent: For those who live far away, how are you managing the travel? If anyone is renting nearby, do you find the time saved worth the cost (esp if there are days with only one lesson LOL)

If anyone is willing to share a screenshot of their timetable or any study notes/tips, I would be incredibly grateful!

to mates out there, could also put your questions down here too!

Thanks in advance for helping a junior out! 🙏

hi all, i just got the acceptance email for SIT and i didn’t get my first choice, mechanical engineering, i was instead offered engineering systems which was my 2nd or 3rd choice i cant really remember

i was interviewed for mechanical engineering but not engineering systems but i somehow got an engineering systems offer

im really more interested in doing mechanical engineering instead of engineering systems, will i be able accept this offer first and then appeal for my first choice programme when the appeals open?

Looking for Advice

Help Pls.

I’m trying to go to Physiotherapy. See, I got shortlisted for the interview in 18 March. I went to the interview. Now, I’m seeing people who sent on the same day as me getting acceptance emails, while my website application still just says submitted instead of even showing I was shortlisted for the interview.

My a-level results were 61.25/70, and I have one year of studying physiotherapy in Australia, Queensland. Along with that, I’ve had an Internship at an AAC for the past 3-4 months. Am I cooked, and if so, what can I do to increase my chances?

Radiation therapy and duke nus

I recently applied for for a course for radiation therapy at SIT and i just wanted to know about the work life/pay as a radiation therapist!

Also i was also considering doing well and applying to duke nus to pursue a post grad med degree. But i am jst wondering has anyone done that and can you share more experience?

My main concern will mainly be my age because if i serve my national service and complete my undergrad and postgrad i will be about 30 as a HO.

Also i am planning to apply for mohh scholarship (mid-term) during my time in SIT. But if i do decide to go duke nus, how will it work?…. As there is a 4 year bond with the scholarship to my knowledge

Do share your thoughts thank you!

SIT Offer Acceptance & Scholarship Access for International Students

Hi everyone, I recently received an offer from SIT for Pharmaceutical Engineering as an international student. However, I would need a scholarship/financial aid to realistically continue my studies there.

I was directed to the scholarship portal, but it seems to require a Student ID login, which I currently do not have access to. Does this mean I need to accept the offer first before applying for scholarships or financial aid?

Also, if I do accept the offer first:

- is the acceptance reversible if I do not receive sufficient financial support?

- has anyone withdrawn after accepting due to financial reasons?

- and does accepting an SIT offer through JAP affect pending assessments/applications at NUS/NTU?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation. Thanks!

Sponsorships & Bursaries

I’ve recently accepted an offer for SIT after working full-time for about 1.5 years. However, I’m concerned about my living allowance while studying as my parents won’t be supporting me (other than paying my sch fees).

Are there any bursaries offered by SIT? If so, what are the eligibility criteria and how much do you get? Also, are there any bond-free scholarships/sponsorships, particularly in the HSS cluster?

Anyone else feel like it’s very easy to fall sick at SiT

Stuff like colds and flu etc. I realised lots of people fall sick at one go each time from just being in the same room. I wonder if it’s the ventilation or tables etc needing anti viral treatment. Maybe also all of us being basically sleep deprived means easy to catch something

Personally I’ve felt sick more times in a year at uni vs when I was in army. Might consider wearing a mask indoors all the time now for lectures

Anyone else feel like they’ve been sick or sick feeling more often after enrolling
