I’ve been thinking about getting an oura ring for the sole purpose of tracking my cycle & ovulation, but am undecided!
For background, I cannot take hormonal birth control, I currently have a copper iud but I hate the way it feels/makes me feel still! Obviously I know that this ring is NOT a form of birth control. I just feel this may be an easier way for me to track my bbt!
I want to know how accurate it is in tracking your cycle? Is it worth it to buy? Thoughts?? What about the ringconn??
I’m between sizes 9 and 10 and would really appreciate some opinions from people with real-world experience.
Size 9:
• Too tight on index finger
• Too loose on ring finger
• Feels quite good on middle finger, but it still rotates if I twist it with my other hand, and after sleeping with it overnight I noticed the sensors had rotated position (although I’m not sure whether it rotated during the night or whether I may simply have placed it incorrectly before sleeping). Photo taken the morning after sleeping with size 9 on the middle finger.
Size 10:
• Far too loose on ring finger
• Too loose on middle finger
• Feels best on index finger: comfortable, relatively stable, does not rotate on its own, but after sleeping with it overnight it felt a bit tighter and left visible marks (although not painful, swollen or difficult to remove). I’m wondering if the morning tightness and visible marks are something to be concerned about. Photo taken the morning after sleeping with size 10 on the index finger.
So basically I’m choosing between:
• Slightly too loose for ideal sensor stability (9 on middle finger)
• Slightly too tight overnight (10 on index finger)
People who own smart rings: which would you choose?
There is a girl on TikTok who partners with RingConn and got the gen 3 early. She’s been answering question and giving feedback. She mentioned that there is an update to the app that she really loved but it’s only going to go to the gen 3. Kind of annoying seeing as there have been quite a few complaints about the current app. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just update the interface for all the rings.
I keep forgetting to take my ring off before it reaches 100, last night I fell asleep and it stayed on the charger all night. I heard it degrades the battery if you keep charging it to 100 but like how bad is it really? and have people really recognized a difference between how fast the battery goes done when charging to 100. I do try and recharge it around the 30% mark
Can’t wait for it to arrive and see if it works well. Always wanted to buy whoop but couldn’t justify the subscription same as oura. Let’s see how it compares with the RingConn gen 2.
Edit - this is Fitbit air by Google if it’s not clear 😊
I have a RingConn Gen 2 which I bought January of 2025. I know batteries don’t last forever but mine dies so fast, is there anything I can do to maybe fix it? (Even though I feel like there’s not).
I let the ring completely die, I charged it to 100% and even left it on the charger for like 45mins after.
1:01 -100%
1:02 - 99%
1:18 - 90%
1:23 - 87%
Hi there. I've had my ring Conn over a year and I like it, but I have health issues and my blood oxygen regularly dips to 90 percent. Sleep apnea treatment didn't help it.
The ring says, in regard to 90 percent blood oxygen: "during sleep, the overall blood oxygen trend is normal' as my health insight.
90 is not normal, in fact it's unhealthy. I know this ring is more about sharing data and less about interpreting it, but normalizing something dangerous seems..well... dangerous to me.anyone?
Anyone considering between future silver and brushed silver? I’m having a hard time deciding between the two. Which one are you going to get?
When I first heard of Oura ring I thought it was super interesting and I wanted to get it one day to just have the overall analytics of my health. I then realized its ridiculous cost and the subscription which quickly discouraged me from buying that.
Just recently I installed Strava and started tracking my weightlifting workouts and my runs and I really like it but I don’t have any sensor to use with it. That’s why I thought I might solve 2 problems at once by getting some kind of smart ring - I get the overall health tracking + I have some kind of sensor for Strava.
Now I know that RingConn is not at all a super reliable sports tracker, and I don’t expect Garmin-like quality and I don’t even need that, I just want to have a sensor for Strava and don’t want to buy separate devices, I’m pretty casual in this.
TLDR I guess my 2 questions are, I know that RingConn sports tracking is bad, but is it THAT bad? And does it work with Strava?
I just got a Gen 2 Air. I bought it for sleep apnea monitoring. but I'm getting mixed information about it.
The sp02 graph only shows 30 minute intervals but I had read that the Gen 2 Air checks Sp02 every 4-5 minutes or more.
is that not true? I tried looking it up and everything just keeps talking about settings I don't see in the app.
I don't see a "sleep apnea monitoring" setting. I don't see a way to look at the graph in 5-minute intervals like I read before.
does this thing check Sp02 more often or not? Only reason I fished out $200 for this thing was for the constant Sp02 monitoring. otherwise it's no better than the $30 smart ring I used to have.

hello! this will be my first smart ring and I just wanted to know if the discount on the preorder day is worth it or if I should wait until it comes out and see if there’s a discount then that’s better. Thank you!
I need to know! Is it worth getting the 2 - 3 year protection plan? I’m trying to order the Gen 3 but I’m going back and forth if I should add the warranty. HELP.
Gen 2 user here.
Has anybody else besides me expected more from the Gen3 release?

Outside of the vibration feature I don't know if there's any new hardware on Gen 3.
Is there new or upgrades to the sensor ? Upgrade/bigger battery?
Rest all of the features feel like just software. Wondering if those will come to Gen 2.
