RingConn sizing dilemma: slightly loose vs slightly tight — which would you choose?

I’m between sizes 9 and 10 and would really appreciate some opinions from people with real-world experience.

Size 9:

• Too tight on index finger

• Too loose on ring finger

• Feels quite good on middle finger, but it still rotates if I twist it with my other hand, and after sleeping with it overnight I noticed the sensors had rotated position (although I’m not sure whether it rotated during the night or whether I may simply have placed it incorrectly before sleeping). Photo taken the morning after sleeping with size 9 on the middle finger.

Size 10:

• Far too loose on ring finger

• Too loose on middle finger

• Feels best on index finger: comfortable, relatively stable, does not rotate on its own, but after sleeping with it overnight it felt a bit tighter and left visible marks (although not painful, swollen or difficult to remove). I’m wondering if the morning tightness and visible marks are something to be concerned about. Photo taken the morning after sleeping with size 10 on the index finger.

So basically I’m choosing between:

• Slightly too loose for ideal sensor stability (9 on middle finger)

• Slightly too tight overnight (10 on index finger)

People who own smart rings: which would you choose?

Hi everyone,

I’m considering getting the RingConn Gen 3 and I have a question about the vibration feature.

Is it possible to set custom reminders or alarms throughout the day (for example, gentle vibrations at specific times to pause, breathe, or check in with myself)?

Or are the vibrations only used for automatic alerts (like inactivity, health notifications, etc.)?

If anyone already has information or early experience with this, I’d really appreciate your input.

Thank you!

EDIT

Besides low battery or inactivity reminders, could you please clarify what types of alerts actually trigger vibration on the ring? For example, are there specific health-related events or predefined alerts that would cause it to vibrate (heart rate, stress indicators, etc.)?

And can I choose which alerts activate vibration?

I’m trying to understand in practical terms when I should expect the ring to vibrate during the day.

Hi everyone,

I ordered the Gen 2 Air but it hasn’t arrived yet — still waiting for the sizing kit. I’m now second-guessing my choice because of my nickel allergy.

I’m quite severely allergic. I used to wear regular earrings as a teen with no issues, but over the years my tolerance dropped to zero. For a long time now I can only wear hypoallergenic titanium earrings, no exceptions.

The Gen 2 Air is made of titanium steel, which may contain nickel. The Gen 2 is pure titanium, but the price difference is significant.

Not sure if it’s worth the extra cost, or if the Gen 2 Air is fine for most nickel-sensitive people.

Has anyone with a nickel allergy tried the Gen 2 Air? Any reactions? Or did you go straight for the Gen 2 to be safe?

Thanks 🙏
