Government job or Private job

is it better to have a job in government where you work very limited hours (maybe 1-2h of real work ) with half the salary you can get in private company but where you work easily 8h per day ?

Restart my career

Been looking for a job for a year now. Nothing has come up. I used to work for SLB for 6yrs, and now I barely can survive through the month. I have no demands and I don't mind even becoming an uber driver. I am earnestly looking for a job but nothing is working out. if there is any opening or if anyone knows a company that would hire at this time I am willing to learn, learn quick, and go the extra mile.

Finding professional jobs in Qatar is hard

I have a diploma in procurement and logistics and I have specialized in supply chain management. When I came in Qatar a few years ago, I started off with a manual job doing deliveries as I searched for a job that aligns with my profession. Luckily my passion for cars helped me land a warehouse assistant job in a automotive company which I worked for 6 months when luckily enough An outside manager noticed my specialty and gave me a better offer working as a parts advisor thereby changing to his company. I worked under him for 5 months but unfortunately he left the company and left for his country I guess he got a better opportunity. unfortunately the new general manager shut down our branch and terminated everyone in that branch because he said the company was downscaling or smth. Since that time I tried looking for a job with the same description or anything to do with vehicle parts to no avail. I had to go back to doing food delivery barely scraping by because am a family man. This experience has shown me that it's not easy getting a professional job here in Qatar especially when you are of a darker complexion and you come from the Africa. All the same I keep on pushing and sending my resumes hoping for a door to open one day Inshallah!!
