Everyone bragging about their “big rooms” with 5x5 or 6x6 meters like they’ve discovered fire.
I go outside and use an entire industrial area. I walk, I run, and I move freely for hundreds of meters while playing in VR. When I reach the end of a path, I just rotate the virtual world with the right stick and keep walking — I never have to stop.
My brain has already accepted that the real world is just a surface to walk on. Everything else happens inside the game.
This is the real difference between people doing roomscale in a room and people doing actual Infinity Scale.
Here’s how it looks live:

Question for Quest 3 and Pico 4 Ultra owners/users

Hello, my question is directed to those who own or have used the Pico 4 Ultra or Meta Quest 3, using them 99% for PCVR with a high-end PC.

Currently, I own a standard Pico 4; previously, I had a Quest 2. For me, switching from the Quest 2 to the Pico 4 was AMAZING — it’s superior to the Q2 in absolutely everything: comfort, usability, PC connectivity, image quality, etc.

I’m thinking about upgrading in the near future, but I’m unsure whether to go for a Pico 4 Ultra or a Quest 3. From what I’ve seen, the lenses and display of the Pico 4 Ultra are the same as the Pico 4 Standard, but with a higher rendering resolution.

For those who have tried both (Quest 3 and Pico 4 Ultra), which do you think offers the better overall experience for PCVR (considering comfort, connectivity, and image quality)?

One major point that attracts me to Pico is the trackers. I mostly play VRChat, and currently use the 3 trackers supported by the Pico 4 Standard. I was planning to upgrade to the 5 trackers supported by the Pico 4 Ultra.

Considering this use case, which would be the better final choice?

How do I connect to Steam VR in 2026

Just got a Pico 4 Ultra and managed to get Steam VR working once, and now it won't connect again - headset not detected. Lots of advice on forums seems to be talking about older software like streaming assistant and openxr.

Can you tell me a basic checklist of what I need to connect to SteamVR pls and what order to run the various bits of software.

INFO:

Connecting wired with new USB3 cable. I have Connect App on PC and headset. I also have Pico Link which seemed to be what got Steam working first time. Checked openvr paths which has one entry for pico link driver. I can use the connect app and see the desktop on the PC so I know it's connected. Pico Link says everything is ok.

i7 9700 and 2060 Super.

Thanks

Hello everyone, I'm a Pico 4 user and have been using it with the pico conect app for abou a year. Just decided to give VRDesktop a try. Tried to copy some settings from youtubers, but still have some questions.

For example: My max bitrate alowed is 111 mbps in ultra quality. Is it correct?

My latency never goes below 56ms, even if my pc is running everyting on time.

My specs are:

ryzen 7600x with rtx 3080ti, 32gb ram

router Huawei AX2S dedicated.

What could i improove?

Thanks in advance

Anyone have any tips for fixing the Pico 4's fit?

I've just put it on today and the back is either too high or too low, and won't adjust so it's tight on my head, it stops at a point and feels loose, but when it's not on my head it does adjust to be tighter. Shaking my head quickly/slowly is making it physically move quite a lot, when I'm under the impression it should stay secure.

I noticed in the image attached that the strap on the left side looks substantially more curved than the other, any way to readjust that?

Not sure why this is happening now - I've owned it for a month and found it comfortable up until tonight.

Hello! I recently got pico 4 ultra and my only complaint so far is lack of accessories. In my country there is no way to buy things like knuckle straps or cooled facial interfaces. It's quite infuriating especially since there are so much accessories for quest 3. So far i got bobovr strap (i needed the extra battery) and AMVR interface which is not actually what i was hoping for (not really comfortable for me but at least light bleed is mostly gone). Any recommendations for aliexpress sellers that might have what i need? Thanks
