Recommendations for OBGYN?

Hello everyone,

I've been struggling with PCOS since highschool and only had myself checked up until 4 years ago. And so far, with my experiences so far with OBYGNs (I have two so far), it left me hopeless and honestly just traumatized. All they do is prescribe me birth control pills. And I'm getting tired of it. They don't advise me anything else even if I asked..

But I really want to have myself checked up again. I've been taking YAZ pills for 1 year and almost a half now and while it's been great, I think it's starting to mess me up. I gained a bit of weight, my cramps have started to hurt real bad again, and now, I've been spotting/bleeding super minimally for almost a week straight when I'm not supposed to.

Please help me give some good clinics with really compassionate OBGYns, who will listen to my concerns and actually offer me other alternatives than just ask me to take pills forever. Please. It's destroying my mental wellbeing :(

I'm from QC but willing to go as far as Makati, Manila..I just want a doctor to actually listen and educate me properly and help me thrive.

Thank you!!!

Hello, first time posting here. Maybe it’s too early to say but it makes me anxious and a little overwhelmed. Positive po kaya ito? I will try again to test tomorrow morning with other brands. But I already tested last Sunday and same results 🙏🏼

Night shift din ako last year pa pero serial puyatera kasi ako nun before kaya nakayanan ko pa. But this january lang I landed a job na flexible so naayos ko routine ko. I am not sure if isa sa reason yun kung bakit bumaba timbang ko. Then ngayong month lang, I landed a job na night shift nanaman. Sobrang stressed ko physically at mentally.

TTC PCOS

Hello! Just want to ask for any PCOS girlies out there who had successful pregnancies ano ginawa buti and how long did it take you to conceive? Give some inspiration naman. 🥺

Context: 31 y.o/ currently at 68.5 kg/ 158 cm

So I was diagnosed with PCOS since March 2024 but even before, my period has always been irregular (only symptom). I gained a lot of weight since very sedentary 'yung work ko, and dati is puro night shift.

For the past years, I went to several OB's (some I like, some I don't) and niresetahan ako ng pills and inositol (always!).

I got married last March, and after nun nag-decide ako na seryosohin na yung PCOS ko and TTC. This time, no pills and instead, healthy lifestyle change. I made a routine and started April 1, binabaan ko calorie intake ko (1500–1600), and nagstart ako mag 10k steps or around 1 hour and 20 minutes na walk daily. (From 70kg to 68.5 kg now)

May upcoming OB appointment din ako sa 24th, pero aside from this, may ibang changes pa ba kayo na ginawa para makatulong magconceive? TYSM!

Cheapest ER near Mandaluyong

Hi everyone, Please help me, feeling ko mababaliw na ako. May alam ba kayo na ER, for blood transfusion or surgery. Magkano kaya aabutin. One month na ako nagbbleed. I'm taking dienogest daily pero after 16-18 hrs nagstart ako magbleed.

Endocrinologist or REI?

I was just diagnosed with PCOS, I have an OB-gyne back at home but since currently located ako sa QC. Im looking for recommendations, should I go to an Endocrinologist or REI, we are not TTC at the moment. Gusto ko lang sana ng Doctor who can give me proper guidance kung saan at ano dapat kong unahin since this is all new to me.

Looking for recommendation na din for Endocrinologist or REI within SM North Area.

Salamat!

first time ko ma-delay

Hi guys, first time ko ma-delay huhu. Dahil ba 'to sa Althea pill? First time user ako ng BC at Althea. Before ako mag take ng Althea regular period ako.

I take my pill everyday on time at walang missed pill. According to Flo nung April 18 ulit dapat ang start ko pero until now di parin ako nagkakaroon. Is it because nag-aadjust yung hormones ko? Or sa 7 days pill free week ako magkakaroon? Nalilito ako guys help haha

Positive PT?

Diagnosed with pcos. Partner is a seaman. Around feb-march nag pa-alaga ako sa OB. Started folic acid, vitamins, oral glutha. Also started drinking inositol powder ng pureform. Tried to eat clean for 1 whole month before dumating si partner. No fried foods, no coffee/ softdrink/ junk foods/ processed and fast foods. Last TVS (April 11) nakita lang ni OB na i ovulated daw after 7days ng progesterone and 1box of diane pills. OB said sana nakabuo kami knowing na I really ovulated on my own. She advised to take PT if wala pako period. First PT was the afternoon we went home that why maybe it’s faded? The second PT was the pinkcheck i bought sa watsons that says it can detect pregnancy after 10 days of intimacy; it showed double lines and although it’s not a solid line, the instruction manual says it is categorized positive!

Haven’t told my OB yet. She’s 4hrs away so it’s difficult for me to visit her at anytime. I also work as a nurse so I was thinking maybe get a blood work once i get back to the hospital. Probably also get some tvs at a local clinic on first week of May just to confirm. Im so happy! Skl

When do you get your periods while using YAZ BC?

Hello! I am already in my 27th pill which is the placebo week as well. When do you get your periods while on the pill? Medyo worried na ko since 2 months na akong walang period and also PCOS-diagnosed recently thus Yaz was prescribed to me by my OB :(

And also, how safe it is to have sex during the placebo week?

Any recos/tips to treat PCOS without BCPs?

I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS for 2 years now. In my first year, I was prescribed Yaz and I had super adverse effects, as in back to back ako sa ER.

Fast forward to present day, I decided na bumalik ulit sa pag treat ng PCOS ko and with a different OB this time. Sinabi ko sa kanya yung experience ko before and how I am super afraid of BCPs na. She said kailangan daw talaga dahil mataas testosterone ko and di na daw uubra myo inositol, so I took drospirenone (Slinda). Kaso now on my second month, kung ano ano nanaman nararamdaman ko ngayon. Super close to what I was feeling nung first time ko nag BCP. Combined pa with my current meds for Hypertension (recently diagnosed). So go.

gusto ko rin maging open sa possibility of getting pregnant because hubby and I are not getting any younger.

Can you girlies share your most effective ways/experiences in treating PCOS without birth control please? 🙏🙏
