Best Front Screen Protector

Question - noticed the front screen protector already has a scratch on it. Since it is the pre-installed plastic like one from the factory, I was wondering if anyone knew of a really good aftermarket one that works really well and is good quality? I'm in the US so it would need to be something I could get here or have imported here.

Thanks in advance! ☺️😀

Considering Oppo Find N6 from iPhone 16 Pro Max, worth it or wait?

Hi everyone, I’m currently using an iPhone 16 Pro Max and I’m considering switching to the Oppo Find N6. For those who own one, how is the battery life and overall experience? Also how is the durability? I’d mainly be using it for media consumption on the larger screen.

I’m unsure whether to hold out for the iPhone Ultra, but I expect that to be out of my price range.

I’ve also had a bad experience in the past with a Samsung phone that kept dropping Wi-Fi due to a bug, which I ended up returning.

The Find N6 is My Favorite and Best Phone I've Ever Had, and I Have to Return it For One Reason.

Phone As A Key. I have always loved the idea of fold-ables. For the last decade I usually don't keep phones for more than a year, however that changed with the Flip 4, I loved that phone and had it for 3 years before switching back to a boring slab phone. Tried the Fold 7 as the concept is great, but I HATE Samsungs design choice with the remote style size, to me it makes no sense. My perfect foldable would be one that is the same (or near) size as a regular slab phone, that just happens to open up to an almost tablet size. The Fold 7's cover screen is just a bad experience and almost makes no sense to even include it at that point. Also their decision to keep the inner camera just slightly of center instead of the corner is wild. It was returned in two days, and I couldn't figure out how it was a better experience than just a regular slab phone.

The Oppo Find N6. Finally a folding phone that has a cover screen almost the same size and aspect ratio of a regular slab, advanced batteries, basically no crease, great cameras for a folding phone, and pen support. Checked all my boxes and more, so I decided to buy the global version and try it out. I expected the software (Color OS) to be much worse than Samsung (Coming from and S25+), however I was pleasantly supprised that I almost liked it even more than One UI. I won't get into the details too much here, One UI still does some things better, but overall Color OS was definetly something I could get used to.

Disaster. 1 week into use, I am in love, but there is one problem. My truck does not seem to unlock by itself when I get close. I get into the truck and I am waiting 20-30 seconds for it to recognize, yes, the phone key is here. I play with some settings, fiddle around with re-pairing and give it some more days to see if anything helps.

Desperation. Almost 1 month, nothing gets better. I don't want to return this, I would keep this until it's broken or too old to function. I turn to developer settings, nothing. For the first time in a decade, I enable USB debugging and start playing with that. I add the Rivian (PAAK) app to the whitelist. I turn off dooze mode. I switch on every Bluetooth scan/don't sleep option I can find. High power mode. EVERYTHING. Color OS is hell bent on killing any background app with a vengeance.

Defeat. I walk up to my truck. It stays locked. I wiggle the N6 and it unlocks. I get in, and... No key detected. Maybe it's the truck I tell myself. I turn back on my trusty s25+ and wait till the morning. Before I can get close to the truck's doors, lights flash, handles pop out, and I am in without a second thought. I shift into drive and leave before I can even think about having to open the app. My problem is finally solved.

It may seem like a small thing, but once you get used to PAAK and how instantaneous it is, you can't go back. This is a deal breaker for me, and at the end of the day, despite how much I love the N6, if I can't get into my vehicle without opening the app and waiting 20-30 seconds every time just to put it in drive, well, it's got to go...

I hope your experience is different, maybe mine was a one off thing, but from everything I could research Color OS is incredibly aggressive about shutting down apps in the background. This is a word of warning to anyone who also loves and relies on PAAK. I don't think this phone is for us, no matter how good it is at everything else.

Charging

What's everyone charging at 0 to 100?

Supervooc charging?

I'm doing like 20% to 80-90%

Supervooc only maxing out at 43w since the brick is overseas seems like it's limited to 40w+ max even when I did lower percentage battery..

Oppo Find N6 AI Pen vs. N5 Stylus/Z Fold Pens/Charging workarounds & "lost" features?

Has anyone found alternatives for the Oppo N6 AI pen? While the phone is incredible, the AI Pen situation is a bit of a headache due to that bulky charging case. I’m looking for some clarity from anyone else who’s imported one or is experimenting with the setup.

Has anyone found a way to charge the AI Pen without the official case?

I’ve seen some users just snap the pen case onto the back of the phone (even over a slim aramid case) for 5 minutes to top it off via reverse wireless charging, then take it right back off.

Has anyone successfully used a standard MagSafe puck or Qi charger to juice the pen?

It seems like it should work in theory, but the contact points are tiny.

Are there any standalone USB-C cradles or "docks" on AliExpress yet? Carrying a whole phone case just as a charger feels like a massive design oversight.

What is actually lost for those sticking with the Find N5 stylus to avoid the new case?

Does the N5 pen definitely work on the outer display of the N6? Does the cheap compactive active Z Fold pens work?

Does anyone know if Oppo plans to release a standalone "Pro" pen that doesn't require the case, or if third parties (like Nilkin or generic brands) are working on a cheaper, more convenient charging solution?

I’d love to hear about your setups, especially if you've found a way to keep the phone slim while still having the pen ready to go.

Nillkin Frosted Case

For those of you who may have been curious about what the frosted Nillkin case looks like with the N6 (silver color), here are some photos. Liking it so far. Not overly bulky, feels like it provides adequate protection. Cover for camera lenses is clear - as long as it is clean, it's possible to take good photos through it. It's a bit flimsy when used as a kick stand but it works well if you have it sticking out just right.

Profanity Filter - Find N6

Okay, this might be a ridiculous question and I apologize in advance if it is. Please show me some grace as I've been an iPhone user for 11 years lol.

I just got this phone last week. I also got a new Pixel Watch 4. While at the Google store in Chicago, picking up a few watch bands, I asked one of their techs how to remove the profanity filter. They asked what I meant so I showed them that if you use Gemini to send any kind of text message, and if you swear, it actually blocks out most of the word with stars. The gentleman had no idea and he tried a whole bunch of different things, but nothing worked.

Does anyone know how to turn this off? I don't mean to sound juvenile, but even with Siri she doesn't block anything out. I have looked and looked and looked and I don't see anywhere in the phone where this is blocked. I'm probably just missing something silly.

Thank you in advance for your help, and much like everyone else here, I cannot get over how good this phone is. It's insane. I still have an iPhone for work, but Android has come a very long way in the past decade.

Oppo Find N6 Review: 1 Month Later!

Hello, I've been working hard these past weeks (making the video took much longer than I though it would) to bring you the best review I could for this wonderful phone.
This review is not sponsored by Oppo, and I’ve also included an in-depth camera analysis.
I hope you enjoy the video. I made the kind of video I’d want to watch. I’m open to any feedback.

Airdrop available?

I'm seeing reports on the Oppo community that people have this feature on their device, as it came with the last udate. When i ask them to confirm, i get silence. So has anyone here had this feature added with the most recent update? If so, does this mean that O+ Connect no longer needs to be installed on the Apple device? I am on version 705. Global.

Find N6 Case for stylus pen

Anyone manage to find another case brand that is able to charge the find N6 ai stylus pen?

Feels Abit weird and exposed that half the phone is not covered when using the "ai stylus pen casing", there is also no hinge protection and kick stand too.

3apps simultaneously layout

On the OnePlus Open, you can split the screen to when you have 3 apps open simultaneously and so a four finger pinch to shrink them to where all 3 are fully viewable, as you can see in this screenshot (ignore the floating window app in screenshot).

Is there any way to accomplish this on the Find N6? I've tried and looked in the settings, but can't find a way to do this, so I suspect there's not a way. But thought I'd ask. The closest way to do it (besides the way where one app is always mostly hidden off-screen) that I've found is to open multiple floating windows and then resize each one.

Thanks in advance

Can the pull down menu be switched to a single menu?

A little while ago, Android updated the pull down menu to be two different menus that you swipe left and right between to swap between notifications and settings/features. I believe most phones can change it back to the old style, but my current phone (Honor Magic5) cannot swap back and is stuck on the newer version, which I dislike.

Battery Life

Hey Everyone,

Got my N6 (Global) a couple of days ago.

What's everyone's experience like with the battery life?

Admittedly I'm coming from a OnePlus 15 which has much better battery life, however the Find N6 isn't taking me through a day. I feel like the battery life is consistently dropping and doesn't get me through a full day.

Does anyone have any recommendations of any Pre-Installed Apps to uninstall or to look into any specific settings?

I did use Clone Phone from my OnePlus 15 so all 200+ apps moved over.

Reviews on astrophotography with the N6

Hey guys, anyone tried astrophotography of the stars and/or night time landscape photography with the N6?

I'm thinking of buying the phone, and would love to hear the reviews for this.

Thanks!

AI Pen Holding Case

Are there any cases out there that come with a holder for the AI Pen? I want to use the pen, but don't want to use the case that comes with it (I'll just charge the pen with it separately). If there's no widely available case yet, has anyone thought of a creative workaround?

Sometimes I get all my notifications appearing on the lock screen

Including silent ones. Then there's a button at the bottom that says "see less" that just takes me back up to the top of the list. If it happens again I'll attach an image.

Anyone else experienced this?
